pondking
its basically turning the banks and federal reserve into a program, a program that doesn't allow one entity full control over transactions or value so some bankers should have a little fear might seem like a Ponzi scheme and I believe some people have used it that way but if it succeeds which so far it has had its challenges the blockchain/cryptocurrency idea can be very revolutionary well at least some America is reaching for a new form of freedom Edited June 15, 2021 by pondking 1 Quote Link to comment

There isn't enough gold to back all the paper money in the world, let alone the US. Since time began less than 200,000 tons have been mined. That's a cube only 21 meter on a side. Roughly 69 feet a side. 47% or almost half in tied up in jewelry. Almost 20% is privately owned. There's not much to go around for backing currency. 1 Quote Link to comment

Gold is sold in Troy weight, not Avordupoise weight, !2 Troy ounces to the Pound Troy, 16 Av ounces to the pound Av. Troy and Av ounces have different Grains to the ounce. 2 Quote Link to comment

When my boss came in,I asked him if that was true.He said "Yes - you can't even say anything to them".I replied "So,do we hold the door open for them,& give them a gift card,so they come back again?". He told me that the company figured that it was cheaper to take the loss than to go to court. 1 Quote Link to comment
