Yep/\..that's why I get a laugh when one side tries to outdo the other, they are both corrupt at the core. Sex scandals, misappropriation of funds, questionable dealings with foreign government, most of them are as guilty as fuck. Their first goal is to get elected, then return their favors..a la special interest groups, then maintain their power. Sucks big time and I think its getting worse, perhaps they are getting expose faster due to social media.

It seems that 2 or 3 times a year we all agree that.....

The Dems and broader liberal propaganda machine are discredited and circling the bowl. The Reps are clinging to a corporate welfare plan to make it look like they aren't falling apart at the seams. Can we all agree that Washington is not run by politicians, and is corrupt up one side and down the other? Why do people still think blaming the other side is getting them somewhere?

So I predict that about spring time we'll discover the above statement is true.... again.

But if you dig deep enough, there are facts sprinkled throughout. Like all the podesta emails..

Like corn in shit... it all comes out eventually.

We just need to pass the bill so we can find out what's in it. #ScribbleDownEconomics

Senate Republicans Scribbled Changes Into the Tax Bill and Democrats Aren’t Having It

On Friday evening, the text of the Senate tax bill was finally released to the public: nearly 500 pages with multiple sections ambiguously crossed out or subject to modifications written in largely illegible handwriting.

We’re not even teaching cursive in a lot of schools anymore, but someone on the staff knew it enough to try. The problem is, they wrote it in cursive along the margin here -- it’s about subchapter S corporations and how much tax they pay and what they don’t pay. I defy anybody to read it, because the problem was, when they copied it, they chopped off lines. So there aren’t full sentences here. They’re just kind of like little phrases and words. This is your United States Senate at work. This is what happens when you push through a bill late at night, desperate to pass it, without really stopping to ask yourself, "Will this really make us a stronger nation?”

At this point it don't mattter, with the half bake tax bill aren't you limited on how much you can put away with your 401k and if you have 403b, deferred comp, you will be tax now than later when you start wdrawing. The rich and corporations will benefit much more than the middle class. Corporations will get less tax with the hopes that they spread this wealth by hoping they give their workers a raise, hence trickle down economics. Further, the new tax plan by design will cause about 1.5 trillion dollars of defecit. So John510, educate me in how this tax bill will help the middle class even when the GOP said that it will.

Its about ramming it down their throat, don't give them time to read it and make a conscious decision, viola you have a half bake tax bill.

Time to read it leads to more and more and more discussion and viola... NO tax bill.

Would any of you be happier with a tax increase ?

At one time people would have been willing to tighten their belts for the greater good. Some still do today. Instead, everyone wants something for nothing and the tax man is put off to visit our children or children's children. Go visit what your grandparents did and suffered through in WW2 for the war effort. Shortages of everything, victory gardens, scrap metal drives, war bond drives, rubber drives, rationing of gas and tires, things like butter and eggs.

If a tax increase resulted in lowering the national dept even if over a generation... people might. But I doubt it as everyone sees everyone else as cheating. If we all suffered equally it might work.  People are used to living well and they won't give it up. Especially the useless ones in our society..
