But I also was much much younger and perhaps naive? Back then also had it's share of elders saying the same thing and their elders before them. The world is going to hell in a hand basket. But is it increasing or just keeping pace? Our civilization is faltering, has faltered. The things we can be proud of are buried under those that are disgusting and vile. I can't un-see them. Authority is undeserving of any respect. I disrepair that we/I will ever recover from this. I remember a time before Cuz when all we had and talked about were Datsuns from a long ago dead era. Before we realized just how fucked up things really were. I long for that time.... Make Ratsun Great Again. Sentimentality is dangerous and a matter of context. The only way out is forward, not looking back with rose colored spectacles to a past that never really existed anyway. The good old days were not good for most people. I put myself in the position of a resident of London between circa 1347 and 1352 when 25 million people ( 1/3 of the population) were wiped out by bubonic plague. Or how about a citizen in Leningrad during WWll when 1 million fell victim to the Nazi seige. There are endless situations I can put myself into to show me how good I have it in this modern era. I just paid off my property tax and when I was younger I did not have to worry about it. When you are young, you think you are invincible and as you get older one worries more about their family, their kids, the economy and yes retirement. Link to comment

Are you suggesting about 1/2 of American voters are irrational ? that's an irrational suggestion.The thing i really don't get about what the left claims are Trump supporters is none of them i know are anything that's suggested.These people are small business owners and guys that go to work everyday and take care of themselves.My own daughter and son in law,both work,bought a house and have two kids,voted Trump.My father in law hates Trump loved Obama and lives in a fucking trailer park.Where does this myth about what a Trump supporter is come from ?
