Where's the word tyranny?

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State" It does not say FOR the security of a free state nor does it say 'to secure a free state'. A standing army was expensive for a fledgling nation and the populace was expected to be armed and called upon to 'swell the ranks' to defend it from the outside.

Tomatoe ,tomato, I have the Right To Bear Arms

I was told banning guns prevents gun-related deaths....REEEEEEE

So you're saying its all BULLSHIT! and gun control is more about CONTROL then about GUNS.

There has always been much debate about each amendment but to me there is no doubt the framers wanted to keep the Federalists in check.

From Wiki;

"Hamilton explained in 1788: f circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude[, ] that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little, if at all, inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rights and those of their fellow-citizens.[75][76]

Please read the Federalist Papers before demonstrating your ignorance of the basic rights issues! They sure as hell raised much discussion in my USA High classes! !  They used to be required reading in "non progressive high schools" as in really citizen rights, not socialist crap, schools [don't know the British etc equivalent school levels]. The views of our [uSA]founding fathers sure as hell still apply!  The authors are the founding fathers of our democratic [dare I say Republican] government! BTY, the US Constitution guarantees a "Republican" form of government, not a Democratic form of government!

Then you have not heard of the East Indian [to use the British differenciation] Thugee [root for modern thug] who used to slaughter pilgrims and bury their bodies after slitting their throats and abdomens so as to diminish post death decomposition swelling that would reveal the mass graves.

No i haven't heard of him.Was he able to kill 60 and injure 500 with that knife in less than 5 minutes ?

What's that whirring sound???

It's your founding fathers spinning in their graves.

so where are you from in the world, Mike? it must have been such a great place that you felt the need to abandon it and move to Canada. what political philosophy did you flee that would improve America?

Who said anything about change to history or laws? It's the later interpretation to fit the times that's the point. Hence that whirring sound.

Right. I was fleeing political oppression when I was three.

Have they given info on the 500 injured? Struck by a bullet vs injured in the chaos. Receiving a bandage for scraps would get you on the list.

If you didn't listen to Michael Savage's show yesterday, you did yourselves a disservice.  There was no one who could link Paddock to any political, ideologist, or religious extremes which could lead to this, and since it required at least three days of planning, that chucks the whole, "he just snapped" theory right out the same fucking window the shots came from.  There were reports of a Mexican woman going through the crowd telling everyone that they were going to die there about an hour before the event.  Callers who were listening to the local police scanners reported that there were some other shooter events at a casino at the other end of the strip, possibly to draw SWAT and first responders from the concert area.  Why did it take so long to get to the floor he was on, the broken windows and strobing from sustained AW fire should have narrowed the search parameters quite a bit.

One has to ask, who could possibly benefit from an event like this.  Who was the first one to chime in with an anti NRA tweet, why the same person who scuttles a US embassy to keep details of a dodgy arms deal from seeing daylight.  Hey, the patsy plan worked pretty well for Allen Dulles, maybe they figured it was time to trot it out again, and since Paddock ostensibly killed himself before police arrived they didn't need a Jack Ruby this time.

It would be interesting to know what was actually used.  When the audio that everyone played starts out, you hear the familiar chatter of a Kalashnikov, and expect it to quit after 30, 40 max.   When it continues, that makes you think drum or belt fed.  The sustained fire rate seems like it's beyond the duty cycle of an AK barrel, but I guess if you have four or five of them lined up a total loss scenario is acceptable.

Perhaps post these reports of a Mexican woman going through the crowd... 'cuz talk and gossip are cheap. In any crowd of 30,000 there is going to be at least several lunatics.  Reports on the scanner? Probably there is gun fire in Vegas at any one time. So how do you recruit someone to do this and then be willing to kill themselves? Conspirisists always see connections that don't exist...
