I love Douglas Arthur, but when it comes to Sci-Fi, its gotta be Orwell, and Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov is another great, and his work is becoming more relevant now than it ever was.

 

I cant do this Nook and Ipad reading though, I have to have real paper, its just too straining on the eyes,and it loses some of its appeal to me.

My first SiFi was a Clark short story, hooked ever since. Really like Niven and Philip K Dick (Blade Runner Total Recall and others) Lately John Barnes and Steven Baxter. I have a novel by the shitter and one in the company van.

I let them decide by what means they want to die from or become disabled

or I take them out into the desert 15 miles or so and leave them out there naked

in the pitch black of night and leave there cloths by the side of the road with a bottle of water

and tell them if I see them around my family or home they wont be so lucky next time..

THE LAST TIME I CALLED 911 THE IDIOT ...... WAS OUT THE NEXT DAY

and was arrested for robbing beating an old lady just 20 hrs later.

so save tax dollars and waste $1.00 worth of bullets and save millions.

My first exposure to Science Fiction was a radio [you may remember it as TV without the pictures] program called "2000plus".The best program they broadcast was by an unknown [then] author Issac Assimov.  It was called "Is Mars Heaven" and not so coincidently appeared in slightly modified form as a chapter in "The Martian Chronicles."  Mr Assimov never wasted any of his short stories when they could be expanded within or as the basis for a novel.
