repugs hold multiple, successful repeal and replace votes while 0bama is POTUS knowing he will veto it.

they run on repeal and replace for '10, '12, 14 and '16 cycles promising to repeal if they can get more repugs in office.

Trump wins, repugs who symbolically voted for repeal when it didn't matter now refuse to vote for the real thing and it's Trump's fault, para?

Ok you're right.Trump is now President and is now responsible for anything and everything the Senate and Congress can't/won't get done.Trump is also responsible for creating Obamacare. So much for the Trump dictatorship.I would go on but it's useless and a waste of time.

Where are you getting this responsible for anything and everything? Not what I said, so stop blowing everything out of proportion with the poor Trump routine. Trump has taken the low road and now he's paying for it.

It's so obvious that ACA did not pass because there were so many things going against it. McConnel had too many closed door meetings, then explected the repubs to vote yes, even though he should have been more open to his own party. Then he basically shoved it down their throat expecting them to vote yes. Pure hail Mary pass from the get go. Then Trump would tweet and bully senators who were against it resulting in being more entrenched, then of course the media had a field day, it almost became like an Abbot and Costello thing, like whose on first. No wonder the public has a negative view about politicians. These are same people running our country. Total joke..

Funny, you're telling me to stop "blowing things out of proportion" ?

Actually is supposed to to be slow and almost impossible to legislate. Why bills get filled with extras. Did Obamacare ACA ever really pass?

Interesting how the resigning staff members are so positive about the direction the WH is going

What you need is socialist medicare or a dictator to cast out the merchants and money lenders from the temple and get the job done. Basically the same thing.

If the US could be taken back 80 years with all the whiny me! me! me! cunts you have to-day, you'd all be typing in German right now. Out of 100 people how many would vote solely for the good of the country regardless of personal gain and work towards it? 8? maybe 10?? 40 wouldn't even be bothered to vote, 20 would demand add-ons for themselves, 10 a committee and time to look into it, 10 along party lines and the rest would simply run out the clock arguing about it.

Obamacare is socialist, I lost my good insurance with the promise of a better one that never came about and got fined for not getting into the exchange witch cost me 3x more with less than half the coverage....wait....no.... THAT'S DICTATORSHIP!

Awwwwww.... I don't think so. A government paying (subsidizing) private insurers is not socialist medicine. If socialist medicine... it would be for everyone (universal) at nominal cost, run by the government and paid for by taxes. No one would be making a profit from your health care needs. You've been propaganda fucked for so long by private (for profit) insurers you've given up caring and they count on that. A civilization is also judged by how it looks after it's sick and weakest members too. You deserve so much better.

The Demosocialists do not believe in a Free Market Economy. Instead of passing laws to help control the out of control medical cost, they took over it and now we are in this fucked up mess.

Fuck the Obama Legacy, that motherfucker fucked us all really good. Fucking Community Organizer lackey to the DNC and Soros.

A thought experimant....

Everyone bitches about gas prices. How many different gas station chains are there in the US? About ten, large ones? and they seem to jockey the prices around for maximum profit. So, if you were to all stop buying at one particular station brand name, what would happen? That would hurt them badly and probably in days, they would have to drop their price. They would have to make some profit just not an excess of profit. The other companies would see this a realize that they too could be hurt and would follow. (someone might even need to be taught a lesson) This is the power of the internet and socially banding together for a common interest.

Now expand this to health care. Stop thinking of yourselves and paying some profit driven insurance company. That's for cars, life and home. The most precious thing in the world is your health. Collectively bargain for change.

I would say it is a fascist form of healthcare dictated by the govt. and implemented by private industry.

And before I hear from anyone declaring fascism as a form of right wing govt. the ONLY people that could claim it as right wing are communists because that's about as far as you can go left so anything to the right is right wing extremism.

Mike, thank you for this. Humans don't seem to operate well without hierarchy. So it takes the rare combination of vanity and cogent thinking to move us forward. These people then generally seem to be snuffed out or silenced we've seen. I'd love to see a future other than ours...

Trump may end health subsidy for members of Congress

The other part of President Trump's tweet this morning that will get a lot of attention from members of Congress: he hinted he might overturn an Obama-era rule that allows members of Congress and their staffers to get subsidies for their health insurance, which they have to get through an Affordable Care Act health exchange. That's what he meant by "BAILOUTS for Members of Congress."

The back story: The ACA requires members of Congress and their staffs to get health coverage through its exchanges, but it was never clear on whether they should get subsidies to pay for most of their premiums, the way employers pay for most of their workers' health premiums. The Obama administration issued a rule that allowed them to get those subsidies — because if it hadn't, members of Congress worried that talented staffers would leave rather than pay the full cost of the premiums.

But conservative groups have been urging the Trump administration to withdraw the rule, insisting that members of Congress and their staffs shouldn't be shielded from rising ACA premiums. It's now clear that Trump is thinking of taking their advice, although a senior administration source says no final decision has been made.

It was made because we stood up for ourselves. Websites like Ratsun could be throttled to a crawl without that rule.

I personally called multiple lawmakers, signed petitions and participated in online protests to force the FCC's hand.

Many of your fellow Ratsuners were in on that fight.

Cable companies were the only ones fighting against it. They had billions of dollars. We had people banding together.

It wasn't partisan or political. It was the internet community banding together.

Why was it made? Cuz it won't be more neutral.

Is there some argument that you have for throttling down our site? I've never heard an argument against it from an individual. Only lobbyists.

the reason I worry is because Comcast is running advertisements in favor of Net Neutrality.. If they are onboard something is fishy!

But I am in favor of it as long as they don't muddy up any of the laws.

P.s. if anyone here doesn't know. Ratsun doesn't have ads. We don't get this forum because of corporate support. It's 100% community supported. If you don't donate to the site, there are (to my knowledge) two guys paying the bill to keep this place going.
