HOGIE Posted May 16, 2015 Report Share Posted May 16, 2015 I was looking at the Datsun Northwest page about the Canby meet and it says this regarding "special drawings" 'Special 10th Anniversary Thank You drawings will be held during the show BUT you must register before May 10, 2015 to be eligible.' denmarkboy Posted May 17, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 yesterday was more progress , Had to pull the cab back off to deal with the head ,also got the trans mount installed , got the steering column , pedal assm. , painted, the sound mat installed in the cab and doors . Heater box is stripped and ready for paint . The secret weapon was here again today , he basically finished the bed started on the fenders. i forgot to take pics of his work ( sorry ) i will take some of the bed today before I primer it . thanks again guys for yesterday , Draker , jester , rhino13 , secret weapon ... oh and my neighbor " crazy Harold " he is always around to lend a smart ass comment ... we love ya harold ! thanks for all the advice .....and jokes... bbq.....extra set of hands !! 13 Quote Link to comment

I realized on the first post (the one that gets updated pretty often), it states the tickets will only be sold at the event and you have to be there to win it. Jester Posted May 18, 2015 Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 Some shots from Saturday. First on my list of to do's; the heater. This thing was full of leaves. I wish I would have taken a shot before I dumped it. Big thanks to Klotz for his help in the heating department. If anyone knows where to get a new plastic piece that goes between the heater and the cowl vent, please let us know. This one is obviously beyond use. Making new foam pieces will be fun. NOT! All torn down and ready for some sanding. Sorry no selfies of sanding process. Al's will have to work. I magically got a shot of the flying DenmarkBoy swooping in for a final coat of paint on the peddle assembly, carrier bearing brackets, steering column and the new trans mount from Wayno. Trans mount makes it possible to mount the dogleg into the 521. I decided to tackle the nasty ass steering box next. Nice and clean and ready for a clean bearing to go back in. A dab of grease to hold the bearing in place till the column gets placed. The missing shot of Eddie "the secret weapon" doing what he loves. How about some sound deadening placed in all the right spots? Nice job Craig!! :cool: Cutting holes around the drain plug holes. These should seal up nicely.
