It's ALL about HIM!!!! .... or was that another misunderstood sarcasm? and it should read ... Trump is and has, very consistently and sometimes with skill, operated in a manner that is most beneficial for America. No sarcasm, the bold sentence in your post is incorrect. And I will try to avoid the appeal of sarcasm. Interestingly, i believe many actions of Trump have been beneficial to America, or at least better for America then options endorsed by the other side. Truthfully, with the raciest and socialist/communist platform of the Left (communism is just socialism with a disarmed populace and armed federal police). Trump could quit wearing pants to press conferences and answer all questions related to the Presidency with "fuck it" and he would have my support. 3 Quote Link to comment

You have to be blind to NOT see that many of Trump's actions are beneficial to America and its citizens.Unfortunately we have a lot of blind people. 4 Quote Link to comment

You hit the nail on the head when you said " beneficial to trump". If it benefits America it's just collateral. His chief aim is getting re-elected, which he probably will do. The next 4 years will see extraordinary acts of megalomania and narcissistic behavior. 57 minutes ago, frankendat said: Trump could quit wearing pants to press conferences and answer all questions related to the Presidency with "fuck it" and he would have my support. bottomwatcher
And a lot is detrimental. His unwillingness to accept any responsibility for his failures, his lying and blaming others when things go wrong is actually just nauseating to me. He is a poor leader. Real leaders own up to their mistakes and set examples for others to follow. They use the available assets at hand to address problems. The man is a self centered child in a grown man's body. The rest of the world laughs at him. The alternative on the democratic side isn't any better. Of course I don't think anybody who has their shit together really wants anything to do with the presidency. Were fucked either way this time around. 1 Quote Link to comment

Trump is accountable to the electorate, because he (or more likely his handlers) place value on the second amendment. If he acts like a buffoon or whether he "believes" he is accountable, is of no consequence. The democrats openly support policies that will put my family in danger. The choice will be cucked or criminal. To post the analogy that I have posted before, take all the idiocy of Trump, all his narcissism, all the lies he told that hurt you or negatively impacted you (and the Covid stuff doesn't count unless you can demonstrate convincingly that the democrats would have handled it better) take the stupid comments, like injecting bleach and whatever and put all of it in one hand, shit in the other. Which hand do you want to spend the next 4 years with? And that analogy paints a better picture of a Biden Presidency than I believe will be the reality. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

bottomwatcher
I don't fear much of an attack on the second amendment. Campaign promises rarely get fulfilled. Gun rights are poison to politicians on either side of the isle and they are afraid to touch the subject because of the blowback. Obama was in 8 years and the scare tactics only drove up gun sales and caused shortages of ammo due to hoarding. The only real federal law I remember in my lifetime that had any real effect was the high capacity magine ban that was allowed to sunset out of existence. I will piss a couple of people off but I am for a more stringent background check if it keeps a whackjob from clearing out a kindergarten. I have had my concealed permit for over 25 years and distinctly remember leaving the class thinking that about 6 incompetent Morons who should not even hold a firearm now have a permit. I don't believe the fear mongering the feds are coming for my guns. Now local city laws are another issue. That's what you should be afraid of. New York for example. 1 Quote Link to comment

I agree about the background check. If it weeds out someone that just shouldn't own a gun so be it.I never could understand why any responsible gun owner that had nothing to fear from a background check would be against it.I believe this is one of those issues where gun owners should be a little more proactive in supporting it.The alternative is to let the anti gun people do it for you. 1 Quote Link to comment

You should be mailed a gun license if you don't actively ask for one. If you want to own a firearm you are automatically disqualified by mental defect. Sort of like asking for a custom user name. 1 Quote Link to comment
