jrock4224 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Share Posted May 26, 2015 if u sand primer ... opening it up will allow it to out gas off ... usually why u smell solvent right after u start sanding recently applied primer... and by opening it up i mean .. block sainding .. once i block a car i like to let it sit at least over night ... if m polishing a car i like to final sand with 1500 or 2000 and let it sit for 24 hours ... clear likes to shrink again once u open it up and if cut and polish it same day it likes o shrink back which is good for latemodel stuff with factory orange peel but for flat custom jobs ... i let it sit .. 2 Quote Link to comment

Everything but tailgate will be ready to paint by the time I leave tomorrow eveningWell a bit of an ambitious post. We did get a lot done though. Everything got sanded with 150 to knock down the texture from primer and now ready for 220, then 320, then paint. Did take hood down to 220. Looks really nice! 3 Quote Link to comment
