Hey guys.....my understanding is that there's a bit of a snafu with the tranny and driveline situation.  It's going to take about $200 to get it modified.  Al could sure use a few extra bucks to get it taken care of.  With all the talk about money.......shouldn't be too hard to get this paid for!  :)  ;)

I have a number of driveshafts in the garage from z cars 720s and 510s.  Any chance you could throw up a dimension?  If it's a long tail dogleg they should all be the same spline shaft if I remember correctly.  The rear flange might need to be drilled for diff holes and the center support bearing could be yarded off.  I could certainly send one of those over.  In fact, I could even drive it over if we knew of one that worked.  I'm on vacation as of Monday.  Just preparing for Canby and a few side projects, nothing special.

So we are dealing with a long leg trans , if it was a short dog leg leg transmission the drivelibe would be a bolt in deal . I have 5 other trucks at my house . Any of the one piece or the 2 piece would work with the shoerter dog leg. .

 

Cost : 2 u joints 30 , installing them 20 , cut , balance , one piece drive line 80 , + the 3 u joints I alresdy did on the other driveline .
