Without a barrel? Don't know. You can get a very nice one for 100$ I paid 50$ at a shop. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
SKSs(Chinese) were hard to beat for the under 100$ price range and 100$ for a case a ammo back in the day. I prefer we all buy USA made guns like the model 70s,700s marlins ect But I love the old German stuff also. Personlly I wish they never brought the Chinese made SKS and AK clones in. Killed alot of people ove rthe years here. They can cut all of them up if they want if there is a good gun buy back program But I like my SKS as a daily beat up rifle over my M1A(M-14) which Im scared to take out. ammo cheap and hits harder than a M1 carbine. Loopagain the Gun is about 20$ if no barrel. If a rotted barrel I would use it as JACK HANDLE Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
The best Moisin Nagants were made in the USA by Remington for the Czarist Government before the Bolshevik revolution. They were seized by the US Government and used for troop training during WWI and also by the US Marines during the invasion and occupation of Vladivostok [with the Japanese Marines I might add] and seizure of the Trans Siberian Railroad, didn't read that in your history books did you. Nothing, ive had problems with both mosins i put berrals in, a gunsmith would pay you 20-25 bucks for it maybe. You can find them, but if its tula the threads are a little different than the surplus "icky" berrals, even tho most the berrals are made in the icky factory Quote Link to comment

Busta Nut
Nice! Gun thread! Only got one. Sig Sauer P226 X-Five Comp 9mm. Love it and it's accuracy!! Recently picked up a 1974 bolt action .22 rifle from an old lady who's husband died a while back. Found a schematic of it online, took it apart, cleaned it, and I don't think it could be more accurate. Sweet rifle! Quote Link to comment

Dat Lurka
Oh it's been posted twice. I guess it's mainstream now. Question for gun guys. I'm thinking of buying a Sten from a local pawnshop It's a MK II Asking price is 600$ and I can probably get it for less. They have never fired it. The mk II sells for 2,000$ + I'm surprised it's still there. People around here probably have no clue what it is. Hell, the pawn shop guys didn't know what it was. Should I invest?
