I don't need or own an AR but know lots of folks who own them. don't know anyone who owns or wants a drum mag for one. not sure why AR platforms are so demonized. Ruger makes ranch rifles in .223 like ARs that work in semi-auto like an AR and no one bats an eye. Once the firing pin strikes the primer on a .223 the projectile coming out of a barrel is no more or less deadly because of the action design of the weapon. I dunno. Mini 14 is a sweet non-descript gun and they don't draw much attention with the small factory mag. Even with a 25 round mag they still look like a simple hunting rifle.
