Likely not your desired outcome. Extreme views are there to balance extreme views. In a perfect world, leadership falls in the middle. Link to comment

Who would you have selected had it been your choice for economics staff? Link to comment

Who would you have selected had it been your choice for economics staff? Exactly, that is the rub isn't it? It's not like at this point we can start from scratch and put in people with zero experience/ credentials just because we are trying to make good on a campaign promise/ slogan. But I ( speaking for myself only) can definitely say I knew this was one of the possibilities. And I will say again as an opinion that billionaires ( there are philanthropic exceptions) do not care about anything before caring about the expansion of their billions. Yeah but the worst a railroad person can do is crash a train. These billionaires in charge of the economy could crash IT....especially if the repeal of Dodd-Frank that is being bandied about is successful. It would be 2008 all over again. Link to comment

The economy is already been crashed, with GDP under 1% and 0% interest rates keeping the market bubble in one piece, its only a matter of time before the current state of the economy collapses under its own weight, it will happen, theres no way out of it, all they can do now is cushion the effects of the inevitable train wreck. 5 Link to comment

The Germans where running their trains with great efficiency during the war, sadly for bad purposes, but, they where efficient, After the war, materials had to be moved and instead of trying to come in and take over the railroads, the decision was made to put those Germans back to work doing what they knew what to do. Hence, if you want to run a bank, you don't get the plumbers to do it, you get the bankers, even if they once did shady shit, because they still know how to run the banks. 3 Link to comment
