That only depends on which side of the line you're on, a terrorist thinks he's a freedom fighter and a freedom fighter thinks the other guy is a terrorist.

Don't agree, a terrorist knows it is being a terrorist. No one jumps into an 18 wheeler on Bastille day mowing down women and children thinking about freedom anywhere. Or while placing bombs in trash cans around NYC and NJ.

Freedom fighter however is a very subjective term, in which sides plays a major role.

Research "Algiers", "PIED NOIR" orignal French settlers in Algiers, and "Mail Box Bombs" for an inkling into the complexity of this basic question!

That sir would be an extremist, another fine line. I was referring to a terrorist being like the Mujahedin or al quida(more the Muj than al quida), mostly containing their effort in government over throw in their own country. Not like ISIS who just want everyone that disagrees with them dead.

By today's definition a terrorist is one that inflicts mass harm and violence as a means to some political agenda. I personally think a terrorist is one that inflicts mass harm and violence as a means to whatever the fuck they see fit. Ted Kazinsky is a terrorist in my book, one that terrorises.
