Presented in contextual isolation, of course this sounds like a shitty deal, but look at the reasons why Britain joined the EU in the first place. It was so Europe could compete on the global stage as a large player. To accomplish that, countries had to yield some of their individual sovereignty to the union. Did Britain benefit from this economic unification? You bet your sweat ass they did, When Britain signed on, they were in a death spiral. Economically speaking (aka the $ that actually calls the shots in government) globalization here in the US has been a done deal sense the 80s. Today we're lead to believe the sag in our economy is caused by external forces like trade deals with China, or illegal immigrants. Our unchecked banking industry sucked $19 Trillion in private equity out of the economy. That was small business and people's life savings that took them decades to amass. Then our tax base was strapped with the debt of bailing out the failed banking system. That kind of massive collapse in capital does not get wiped off the books over night, at least not without a world war.

Political sentiment and the sense of security within the worlds most powerful countries has been decimated by a small hand full of 3nd world psychopaths. Now these 1st world countries are isolating themselves from one another in fear. From a military standpoint, if the goal is to destabilize the enemy's way of life, we need to be honest here. the terrorists are clearly winning this fight. These decisive psychological victories have come on a shoestring budget because fear is a cheap, but very effective weapon. Set aside all the passion that's being kick up and you can see how the political and news media machines on both sides are amplifying this fear and using it to manipulate the public's sense of security. I don't need to put the actual terrorist threat into perspective again. Logically the military expenditure and political paranoia is totally unjustifiable BS. Psychologically speaking though, it's solid gold.

This country lacks a firm concise resolve. I am not talking about trying to kill a fly with a hammer either.

If bombs explode in public and no one is killed... does that disqualify it as terrorism?

Attempted terrorism?

1. the very word "bombing" hurts people's feelings:

CNN’s Jake Tapper asked New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on State of the Union on Sunday morning about the supposed contrast between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in their responses to the explosions Saturday in New York, editing out Clinton’s reference to “bombings” to create a false distinction.

Tapper cited Trump referring to a “bomb” in New York, then played a clip of Clinton criticizing him for saying that — leaving out Clinton’s reference, seconds before, to what she called “bombings.”

2. the NYC mayor says it wasn't terrorism:

Absent a motivation, Mr. de Blasio suggested the word terrorism should not be used, shaking his head in disapproval at the notion that the basic facts of the bombing could be described that way.

“Here is what we know: It was intentional, it was a violent act, it was certainly a criminal act, it was a bombing — that’s what we know,” he said on Sunday, flanked by law enforcement officials at Police Headquarters in Lower Manhattan. “To understand there were any specific motivations, political motivations, any connection to an organization — that’s what we don’t know.”

This guy is going to get the weight of the left thrown at him for sure...

More or less a publicity stunt, but the guy's making a damn good point here. At what point does the BLM's rhetoric start to mirror a terrorist organization, or breach second amendment rights by calling FIRE in the proverbial movie theater? I get that the organization is pushing back against the appearance of racial bias in law enforcement. but calling for revenge is not the moral or logical high ground position. Calling for violence against cops only demonstrates the open aggression law enforcement deals with. I'm not stupid enough to take a side in this fight, because both sides are for the most part, fucked up and blind to their own shit.

Perfect example of the political and news media machines manipulating public perception. Who was it that said "A functional democracy demands on an educated and well informed electorate"? Oh yah, Thomas Fucking Jefferson!

So when are we going to call Bull Shit?

pretty obvious.....http://www.state.gov/j/ct/rls/crt/2015/index.htm

The ocean has receded too.

Not saying any one president can prevent 100% of terrorism, but some are a little more at ease with the people predominantly perpetrating the "Not terrorism."

Why do you think I rather watch, how things are made, velocity channel, history channel, Channel 9.  Most of the stuff in the news repeats itself and interpretation of what happened depends on which channel..hence CNN or Fox news.

The political agenda in the media is so damn transparent it's like watching a cartoon plot, but people eat that shit up as their preferred version of reality. Truth is like poetry, and let's face it, most people hate poetry. So like Louis B. Mayer said, "Give'm what they want."

So....people need to die in order to be labeled terrorism?, got it....Obama has yet to succeed in stopping a terrorist attack!.

Each admin details what it defines as an act of terrorism.

Just so happens that the current admin has made it obviously harder for a Radical Middle eastern immigrant to be labeled "terrorist" and easier for anyone center right and caucasian.

The definitions will change again once a new administration is sworn in.

Oh but I can have it both ways.... I don't buy into a cartoon version of reality, or waist my energy blaming one stupidity or the other. I recognize both are absolute CRAP.

I don't think you get it GPA, I'm not calling you out for your conservative views, (in fact I agree with much of it) it's the mindless Fox News presentation of it. The #FuckingLibtard shit is not only disrespectful, it negates the point you're making with a mindless polarizing exclamation.

That's narrowminded, just because i wont vote for hitlery and i despise socialism doesn't mean im a conservative, far from it, despise religion and I'm all for gay rights.....how's that fit your view of a conservative? Fact of the matter is George Carlin is DEAD on with everything he said about our country until the day he died.
