Draker
Got an email this morning saying my tax stamp came in. Good timing because the shop I purchased from is closing at the end of the year. Also went to Cabela's to score some low hanging calibers I don't own. If you don't get instantly approved, no pew pew for you. I was not instantly approved. Worst $10 lottery ticket ever. I did find a place online still shipping to Oregon.. Now trying to track down an FFL that'll still play ball. 1 Quote Link to comment

dimlight65
Went to the gun show today. And since one needs something to tame the MASSIVE recoil of .22LR, I picked up a couple muzzle devices for the Kel-Tec P17. Before... Brake #1 Brake #2 I also saw something of a unicorn. An uncircumcised Taurus 856! The story I was told was that Taurus ships these from Brazil with this weird barrel extension. Then they are supposed to lop it off in the final machining processes here in the states. Apparently, some slip through with the extension still in place. I was told it's something like one in every 35,000. Take that with however big a grain of salt is necessary. I'm just saying, that's what I was told. dimlight65
The uncircumcised Taurus 856 just got wood! Alas, the wood grips weren't enough to save it from sinking to the bottom when the boat overturned. 🙄😇😉 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Background checks in Oregon are taking about 2 months. I’ve got a bunch of stuff gathering dust at a gun shop. Oregon sucks. 3 Quote Link to comment

dimlight65
So, it's possible that someone might have "acquired" a 50 round drum mag for their daily carry gun. Ignore all the schmutz embedded in the stippling and the bit of corrosion on the back of the slide. It is my... I mean, someone's daily carry pistol after all. It's a Canik TP9v2, if you were wondering. Edited May 21, 2023 by dimlight65 3 Quote Link to comment

I usually bought one when I found a "cool" stock for it. The first one looked like the Beretta Storm PX-4 carbine, and the second was probably a bullpup. I've never been able to warm to the top-heavy look of the pistols though... in fact, the resemblance to a Hi Point "Yeet Cannon" was why I "had to" sell my .45acp Walther PPQ. Yes, I am exactly that shallow! 1 Quote Link to comment

USA should have adopted the FN FAL or Hk G3 instead, the M14 is an utterly terrible rifle. Quote Link to comment
