You know Bob, I like the fact that your season is done. In the last few days you have gott'n the clutch working, the brakes working, new rims, strted on the new drivers side door. At this rate you will be driving it to the next track meeting.

Love'n the progress Bro. Keep it up.

Sounds great...!!!:cool:

Today is supposed to be the last good weather day in a while...:rolleyes:

They say it's going to be nice on Saturday. We are having a "open lapping day" this Saturday. I'm trying to get the truck done for it's first shake down run. If you want to come out to the track to witness the maiden voyage let me know and I'll get you some passes.:D

Don't worry guys - if we run it we will get video!:w00t:

I just put the MX520 on the scales. It is very close to the 50/50 split I was hoping for!:D The new suspension kit will be here on Thursday. Once that is installed I'll be able to jack some weight around and get even closer!

Here are the initial corner weights;

L/F 542 R/F 503

L/R 456 R/R 497

1998lbs total with 6 gallons of gas in the tank!

Vids are too short... need a long continous burnout. :D

I hope to get some new stuff this weekend! :thumbup:

Bob,

What a great job on the truck. Done in the truest sense of hot rodding.

Thanks Dave. It is a true "Japanese Hot Rod". Built from one of the oldest Japanese trucks, a rare 1966 Datsun single headlight 520. Then updated with a modern Japanese twin cam fuel injected engine, 5 speed transmission, 4 wheel independent suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes!

I'm almost ready to go to the track Saturday. My suspension did not show up today.:cursing: I'm sure the blizzard had something to do with that. We got 20" of snow in the last 48 hours. It's supposed to be GREAT this weekend, sunny and 65!:)

I cleaned up the grille tonight.
