q-tip
Didn't do anything on the 510 today but Saturday I drilled the socket head cap screws that came with my Ermish rear CV axles so I can safety wire them once they get installed after I return from Cali. Then I'll do a string alignment with my newly installed FutoFab adjustable T/C Rods and ready it for the drive to King, North Carolina, then to Summit Point Raceway West Virginia for the East Coast 510 meet weekend of May16th. Damn, thats a hell of a trip! Quote Link to comment

danfiveten
Well it gets Dry washed with a spray i use, i dont want to give her any reasons to rust, shes got a few spots that i have under control from teh roads up in canada, so i do my best to keep it dry as possible. I spray her, wipe and buff her, then wax her and im done. Why she always looks so good and shiny. :) 1 Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Cleaned up some stuff and greased things to stop bad noises. Quote Link to comment
edekalil
Got in last night and could smell a hint of old gas in the building. Looked downstairs at the 70/510 and the fumes were coming from her. So I undid the gas cap to let any pressure escape then when I get back from having coffee I will figure out what's up with that. I guess one thing I will have to do now is clean out the trunk. Quote Link to comment
edekalil
Got the old lady's out. The oldest stopped down at the other end of the block ( f't up gas in the tank it clogs up but I'm working on it). Now eating lunch. Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
Connected the alternator finally. Sure beats having the car sit on the charger every night. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
I had it brought (most of the way) home!!! I still have to sell a truck or a Subaru before I'm allowed to bring it all the way home :-( So she is sitting on a good friends property for a bit. I'm the idiot with the giant cheesy grin on his face steering the car :-D Off we go! Yay mine! 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
How much was that paint? Assuming it's auto paint in a can that matches the car? Quote Link to comment
67_1600
The paint was $73.30 for a pint from Wesco but there were other charges to have the aerosol cans filled plus the couple cans of primer. I wish I could afford to just get my whole car painted but it's just not in the budget right now. It's the original color, which is what I'll be going back to when I do get the paint done.
