Angela
Hey, so just curious... when you die or become incapacitated... What will you do with your Datsun? I'm a Hospice counselor so these morbid thoughts are not foreign to me. People have a multitude of last wishes & specific requests to be carried out when they go. So, in regards to your Datsun... what's yours? 1 Quote Link to comment

Rick-rat
Really won't care when I am gone  1 Quote Link to comment
Ratwagon1600
Mine are going to my son with a clause in my will that he is not allowed to sell them. 2 Quote Link to comment
canadianf10
LOL. I've thought about it for years! originally my plan was to be buried in my f10. but I looked into it and its a lot of headache and hassle. you gotta buy an extra big plot, the car needs a bunch of enviro crap done and most graveyards wont allow it anyway. the idea of leaving it to a family member is good but I know nobody in my family loves it as much as I do anyway. so I figure I might just have a metal worker make my coffin out of it and get buried with the shift knob in my hand. 6 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
f10..... Cremation, place urn in glove box, pay wrecking yard to crush into cube, have delivered to home, or w/e, and burry it or use as lawn art. 4 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Sell it, crush it, keep it...what will I care? :P 4 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Right so you should think about this now. Same as any loved one. You would want them to be wanted, cared for and looked after probably someone like yourself. 2 Quote Link to comment

Angela
Sell it, crush it, keep it...what will I care? :P So very sad Matt! 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I will probably procrastinate until the decision is out of my hands. But I do hear what you are saying Matt, once you are gone you won't care and it won't matter.... to you at least. You could take the load off others you leave behind. Hell you may even make someone very happy by willing it to them. Maybe that kid down the street that may grow up to be like you if he had one. 5 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I will just let my sons have all my shit before i'm dead. I already told them that. Hell except for my tools they could probably have it all now, as long as they kept it till i didn't even know who they were in the first place. 4 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
As told to me by my two boys (6 and 7 yrs old) they have already decided on who gets which car when I die. 3 Quote Link to comment
Angela
OK...If I had the money & was all the way crazy instead of half crazy... I think I'd stipulate in my will that a caretaker would wash & polish my wagon, rattlecan the top every time it starts peeling up again, do regular, loving maintenance, & take her to all the meets & local Cruise Nites she's enjoyed since she's owned me. She deserves it  6 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Dibs on Rick's truck when he kicks the bucket. I have never thought that far forward about my Datsun. Seems pointless. I just want to drive it tomorrow...and the day after... 6 Quote Link to comment
a.d._510_n_ok
Sell it, crush it, keep it...what will I care? :P Agreed. When I assume room temperature I won't care but while I live I like the idea of the car going to a new owner who will drive it. 4 Quote Link to comment

MikeRL411
I have already turned down an all cash $20,000 offer [by a Japanese after market parts manufacturer] on my RL411. I explained to the offerer that I bought it new and that my son would be the second owner. He has been lusting after it since he was 16 and he deserves it ! Corrected to show initial offer amount. bananahamuck
Dibs on Rick's truck when he kicks the bucket. ... . Yeah and since it's a 620 I wouldn't feel bad about pulling the motor and tranny for more desirable Datsun project 5 Quote Link to comment

KELMO
Have thought about this occasionally and am not really sure. Buried in it like Willy the Wimp (Stevie Ray Vaughn song)....uh no. I have no kids so uh, no. Maybe a niece or nephew....oh fuck that. Maybe a museum....well, I should do something pretty soon as I am no spring chicken. Cough, wheeze, cough. 5 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It doesn't have to be a relative. Just someone with your... values. That definitely is not always a relative. 3 Quote Link to comment
505plus5
Man... I'd take any Datsun any time AND depending on its condition, drive it, restore it, keep it, or use the parts as long as the watch keeps ticking- I have plenty of room for them all. Then, let the family decide what they wanna keep to themselves, but again, making a clause in the will of which ones they can't sell;... since I have no kids. If I had plenty of kids I'd love to pass them all down to each one of them, but until then... Lol 4 Quote Link to comment
