earlyvws
All buffed. Turns out I suck at color sanding. But George came to the rescue and really made this look good. This is where I dropped the buffer. Looks like a well placed sticker will fix that up. So tired. Try to get outside sun pics tomorrow. Thank you George, it would of never happened without your help. 5 Quote Link to comment
ol' 320
I know so little about paint…. I am amazed you can color sand it so soon after painting it. Hard to believe that is the same car that was sitting on your loading dock just a few days ago…. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ant-dat
Looks good, shame about the little bit on the bonnet (hood) is that the only mark? Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Lame IG pic but thought it appropriate considering color, hood sticker and uncut fenders... Looking really good BTW 2 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Looks like an L6 but this is a long nose... Quote Link to comment
wayno
I am kinda surprised to see any L block in a skyline, I kinda thought they all got special engines, one of the reasons they were not imported here, wouldn't meet emissions and such. It looks good lowered, but I would scrap the oil cooler idea, at least in that configuration. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
yes they had L blocks w triple Mikunis I think 2 Quote Link to comment

earlyvws
Looks good, shame about the little bit on the bonnet (hood) is that the only mark? It's the only fuck up from buffing, but missed a few other imperfections. Overall it looks great for cruising around town. I was so tired that the buffer just got to heavy and got away from me and just gouged in to the paint and ripped the shit out of it. My head hurts from thinking about how much work it would be to fix it. So sticker solves the problem. Take care of it the next time I paint this thing. 1 Quote Link to comment

Bro sand it all down and just do it one more time, c'mon you won't live with your self just like when i had you redo the engine bay on the truck. If anything do it for the kids. Quote Link to comment

Z chopper
you know if you don't fix the chip in the paint it will bug you forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever. I am also sure others will bug you forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever for not fixing it too. 1 Quote Link to comment

earlyvws
I've been way tooooo sick to even care. Maybe after I get over this shit I might be more persuadable into more endless hours of prep/ sanding/ painting/ sanding/ buffing/ polishing Right now I feel like I'm going to die so that little bugger ain't bothering me at all. In fact it looks like it's smiling at me all happy. 1 Quote Link to comment
Duncan
Well, the bright side is that it's on the hood. It's easy to take off (with a helper) and repaint the outer skin. You can always re-assemble the car, then go back and do it when you're tired of looking at the sticker on it... 2 Quote Link to comment
wayno
To me it kinda looks like a monkey head facing towards the right with it's mouth open. 1 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Shit I thought it was light reflecting off the hood and I was just too stupid to see the defect. 1 Quote Link to comment
