One thing that doesn't get hammered enough, and it's so fucking obvious it should be unarguable;  arming teachers would be a major deterrent factor.  In practically every case, when the plods finally arrive after being called, the cuntfaced fucktards top themselves rather than engage in a firefight.  If even the threat of meeting armed resistance would keep them from trying in the first place, it's a win.

You see signs all over saying speed controlled by aircraft, but how often do you see rozzers in a Skylane timing traffic?  Casinos have lots of those little black domes in the ceilings for cameras, but not all of them have cameras.  The flight attendants don't give a shout-out to Marv, the armed air marshal there in 37C, who might or might not be on this flight.

What do you thing would be a better home defense, a sign that says "Fuck the NRA" or :"Protected by ADT"

Many of these assholes want to die. But they'd want to kill as many as possible first, so it could help.

I'm guessing the ones that don't have proper security have had the mass shootings, right? By proper security, I mean more than a fake sign that says video monitoring and patrols. I haven't heard of any teachers groups asking to be armed. Having them armed is just a knee jerk response by non teachers. I can't see anyone who would wish to be armed who isn't already, let alone a teacher around children.

I think it's already been brought up, but the Toppenish school district here in Washington has trained and armed administrators. They chose to go thru the training to be able to be armed.

In Washington state it has never been illegal to open carry a sidearm and there is no government permission needed to open carry. There is nothing that requires you to get a CPL (Concealed Pistol License) unless you intend to conceal legally. Then to get the government permission to conceal carry you have to go through a background check and be finger printed. So, only law abiding people are targets of the government and restricted in places one can go.

 

Criminals do not bother going through the hoops to get a CPL or gun, this is what makes it crazy.

I assume an administrator is not in the classroom?

 

If no one knows staff are armed, there is no deterrence factor.

 

I doubt a mentally disturbed person with a gun will be deterred by armed teachers in the building. They are more intent on exacting revenge on anyone and everyone at all costs, hurting and killing and handing out pain in return. Yes, presumably someone armed might be able to reduce the number of students killed but it won't necessarily stop them. The first sign a shooter is active in a school is when the bodies are hitting the floor. Better to deny a shooter entry in the first place.
