That Chinese food song is a perfect example of what happens when people who don't do drugs think they can make music.

And Steely Dan is just about as bad as it gets for songs that I'm likely to hear on the radio.

If you only listen to the radio yes Led Zepplin  seems pretty repetitive but the album (Physical Graffiti)  HRH posted is fucking  epic..

Great points Smoke. Musical plagiarism been around since the washboard was used in a tune. As I like to say "There's the way it is and the way it should be" Sgt Barnes from The Movie Platoon. Me if it's good I'll listen and won't care who or where it came from. It's all about what moves you. I like almost all music cept for Rap and 60% Country though I do give a good ear to it. Todays Pop you can have it 90% of it sucks my Boxers Howl at it.

I hate to bust anyones bubble but with a few exception ,, every single thing anyone has ever done was a repeated action of some sort. The person just refined the movement or action in order to improve it.

 

You can't say for a fact that any of those blues artists came up with everyone of those cords and rhythms themselves,,, did they ever give credit to anyone ever?
