Spotted this little gem about a month ago, in town. How the hell I have never seen this car before, is a mystery to me. As soon as I saw the color I just new it was a Datsun. Chased him to the local liquor store and talked with him for over half an hour. Very nice older guy. I promised him I would come by on the weekend when the car would be at home but didn't get around to it. Anyway, to-day I was out in a company car taking pictures of a proposed sewer line route and was near where he said he lived. I drove up just to look around and there it was in a drive way. (his wife was laid off and so was home) The third co-incidence was I had my personal digital camera. Woot!!

The old guy was very cool about my being so excited about it. He really loves the car, loves driving it. Actually it's used daily by his wife who is a cabinet maker or something and works about 30 miles away during the week.

Can you read that original mileage??? Wow. It's a California car that was driven up every summer on vacation untill the POs were too old and this owner, John, acquired it. May have been a relative.

Check this: Has some sort of camber plates. There's also air con that works, a points dizzy and some weird round white plastic vacuum reservoir thing. Look at the wiper motor; can you see something hanging from it?

Seems to be some kind of counter or hour meter or something. For EGR?

The jack was caught under the front seat but from the looks of the rest I doubt it's ever been used. Beautiful car. I offered him an L20B carb as his needs work.

I asked John if he would ever think of selling it and he said no. But he did say that he would want it to go to someone who would love it like he does and would call me first if he did.!!!! I SO want this goon. Have a nice 5spd at home.:D

I saw two 620's the other day. One 1974 620 parked on Vermont and 140th st. Pretty complete and everything was there but on jacks. THEN!!!!! Have you guys seen that 521 that had its cab extended? Well I saw a 72 620 with the same concept by these streets, Downey and Jefferson in Paramount. I'm going to ask him and join Ratsun.
