slodat
Clayton and Lisa, I know the hood prop rod was removed for the strut bar. An easy hood strut setup is available from Napa. Strut - 819-5568 Ball stud for strut - 735-3607 Struts were around $20 and the ball studs were $4/ea.. 1 Quote Link to comment

Cuts metal like mad
OK! I got a few questions... :D 1. whats the offset on those wheels? 2. spacers? 3. The post with RB's on says the ZX struts not installed yet, hows it lowered? 4. Wheels fit fine with stock struts and fenders? 5. did you have to roll the fenders? Quote Link to comment
inline4
Shortened using VW inserts. which inserts? I think im gonnba have a set shortened and rethreaded any fairly inexpensive shops in the area? Quote Link to comment

69FJWagon
which inserts? I think im gonnba have a set shortened and rethreaded any fairly inexpensive shops in the area? you can take them to Troy or if you have the ability and a welder you can do it your self. as far as the inserts I cant remember I will look next time I am in the garage QUOTE zuum510 OK! I got a few questions... :D 1. whats the offset on those wheels? +22 2. spacers? not on the stock 510 struts but about 1/4" with the zx struts with long wheel studs 3. The post with RB's on says the ZX struts not installed yet, hows it lowered? stock 510 struts shortened strut housing and lowering springs and VW inserts 4. Wheels fit fine with stock struts and fenders? the car needs more caster so it rubs a little at full lock but other than that no issues 5. did you have to roll the fenders? yes front fenders are rolled Quote Link to comment
