I took the MX520 out for a drive today.

 

I snapped a few pics of the work that was recently done; hard bed cover, door panels and some floor coverings.

 

It finally looks done! :D

That looks really good Bob, when racing the truck, will the bed cover be removed because of any rules, to keep it safe, ect?

 

Good question. We can run with the cover since it is "bolted on". Since I didn't elect to cage it, we can only run time trials. I wouldn't want to race it as that could lead to body contact and that would be a BIG BUMMER!

Beautiful truck,I just love it.how did you make the bed cover and did you weld tabs under the cover to bolt it down.

The bed cover is bolted to tabs that are welded around the bed. There are ten mounting points total. I did this before it went in for paint. The brace across the bed is just for mounting the cover, not for bed strength as many people have assumed.
