red13 Posted July 11, 2015 Report Share Posted July 11, 2015 Well it was my turn to get burn by datsun parts llc now California Datsun, Most of you know I have been on disability this past year and really haven't had a chance to work on my truck. I have been able to do little things here and there. I bought a 210 head from datsun parts llc which said in the description professionally rebuilt head, Reconditioned Rocker arms, Polished stock Cam, and valve adjustment and free shipping. Well the first part was the shipping said he did and yet somehow UPS shipped it to him so i had to drive down there to go get the head. Nick on the side told be to file it. Another was complete valve adjustment, which i emailed to ask he said to make sure I do it. Last week I went to pick my motor up and talked about the head and I am still learning and found out this stock cam that was put on was a u20 not a 210 cam. Today the wife helped me swap out the cam and what I saw pissed me off and if I didn't change the cam could have damaged my motor. All the rockers had gouges, the cam had really bad gauges and needed resurfacing, I contact Al told be I bought used not new so its no big deal. Then since I took it apart its no big deal. I am one of many to get burned by them now. I see he tried to change his name to try and leave that rep behind, but it still follows so DON'T BUY FROM HIM.. 2 Link to comment

Farmer Joe Posted July 11, 2015 Report Share Posted July 11, 2015 noted.. i was going to pick up a coil over kit from him, but im glad i didnt now... those followers and cam are trashed.. if the cam is that trashed, then that last cam tower it rode in is probably trashed now too. how did you pay for it, and how long ago? i think paypal has a 45 day appeals policy for bad sales and whatnot... you should try and get your money back for this.. 3 Link to comment

To say that those are ok to run is quite telling. :( I would do what Farmer Joe suggests and fight it through ebay. He admitted selling you those parts, do you have a copy of the original ad saying the cam was polished?. 2 Link to comment

Then you install the cam and rew rockers arms that you buy yourself is the best way to do it. The cam big end jornals you can get away with the scaring that's on there. The rockers are different. If one can find rockers between 10 13 $ apc buy 2 sets. 1 Link to comment
