flatcat19
They still just come running though, right out of the sage brush into the front of your car. But they're smaller. The worst that will happen is you might knock a wheel out of balance. I did hit a porcupine last year. Luckily it as down the middle and not a tire. That fucker got tossed. 1 Quote Link to comment

Where Kevin or I live, we don't get that kind of wildlife. Skunks, porcupine, quails. Children? We'd have to put in some distance to find any sizable wildlife. 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Fuck I've never seen anything other then a bird.. A deer Once! While driving... maybe 100 yards away. I'm hitting jackshit, as far as wild life goes, down there. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Take a walk down the hiway for a couple hours, you will see a lot more than you ever thought would be out there, I have spent massive hours hitch hiking on the hiways of eastern WA after landing my hangglider out there. There are a lot of Magpies out there, they sit on the fences laughing at you as you walk by, they likely are thinking, "walking down the hiway in this heat, what a tard". 5 Quote Link to comment

Most of the areas you speak of are all developed now. Hell, just from the boom in the 6 years I have lived here is quite the change. I see more rattlesnakes and coyotes than anything else. I lived way the fuck past Benton City most of my time here. I would commute in to Kennewick or Pasco daily. Not a lot of life to be seen. When I was in Portland I would see an urban deer daily. Dear or alive. Now that I'm living a bit more rural I see nothing. I blame the wild dogs/coyotes. 1 Quote Link to comment

My cost of living is half what it was when I was in Vancouver. Even now I'd probably be around 40-50%. 2 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Fuel and temp gage stopped working. Haven't had my blinkers working either, Checked rear tail grounds and bulbs, nothing, front and side bulbs and wires, nothing.. both flashers work.. and my hazards come on, as in indicate.. The fuel gauge and the temp were working, stopped on the way to work one morning.. so I'm thinking ground some where.. I'll change all the fuses.. Annnd I'll make sure I check the ground wire from the tank to frame.. I cleaned the top connections but didn't change the ground cuz that ground is stuck on tight! And the screw driver will just strip the shit out of the screw.. Guess I'll change bulbs. Lights work so I can still drive around. 1 Quote Link to comment
