INDY510
So what makes this a 510 besides the core support? the firewall, and winshield wiper well .. .. which are VERY structural and basically the only thing holding the "car" together Link to comment
INDY510
. This seems like a good place for the motor .. except the oil pan's on the ground, the hood won't shut, and the "frame" can go 2" lower Nice and far away from the firewall... Link to comment
INDY510
. The hood prop slide got in the way.... Link to comment

sedition88
I love the mid-engine idea. At one point I've considered doing a mid-engine setup in my 620. If I get another 620 I may just do that Link to comment
Icehouse
Mid engine? Yeah flip the ring and pinion on a VW 091 trans! That would be pretty crazy! It would make the rear doors pointless though. Link to comment

Dirttrack510
Hey indy, have you considered simply grafting a induction style Cowl onto the original hood to fix the hood clearance issue? sorta like the muscle guys put on the old Camaros and Chevelles. I think it'd look decent if it wasn't a really tall cowl. Link to comment
