Last week in his valedictory address, retiring Luton Crown Court Judge Nic Madge spoke of his concern that carrying a knife had become routine in some circles and called on the Government to ban the sale of large pointed kitchen knives.

 

Latest figures show stabbing deaths among teenagers and young adults have reached the highest level for eight years, and knife crime overall rose 22 per cent in 2017.

Shite parenting is at the core of this mess. Video games and tv have nothing to do with it, otherwise I’d have been a shooter. Kids are taught that they’re gods gift and they deserve everything they want these days. Parents don’t use the N word...No, enough. This latest dipshit shoots up his school because a girl told him to piss off, he obviously wasn’t told no frequently enough in his formative years. The girls dad is partially to blame, if my daughter told me she received death threats over turning a guy down, I’d be at that little punks house putting the fear of god into him if the authorities didn’t find it necessary to do it themselves. If I had a buck for every time I got teased, embarrassed, turned down, or bullied...I’d be rich as fuck. My kids may think I’m to strict and say no too much, they’ll thank me as well adjusted adults, just like I did with my old man.

To be clear, kids will be kids, only the times have changed. (and lack of parenting skills) I can't believe my lucky stars that my three kids grew up without the police bringing them home or hospitalized for reckless behavior including drugs. They all married reasonable sensible spouses, have careers, homes and families.
