I noticed slip yoke on the new shaft doesn't have the dust shield. The yoke will be more likely to have dirt stuck to it and have to be wiped off by the seal. It probably won't be an issue, just something worth noting... If you were using a KA tranny let's say, then they have the slip yoke shield on the trans, in which case the driveshaft doesn't use a shield on the yoke.

 

Maybe the sleeve is something you want to have welded on by the shop who made it, if they're local...
