Revival of the Chickenhawk...

Recommended Posts

Older guys (and users of Datsun1200.com) may recall this car...

Here's some pics from about 12 years ago, in it's heyday...

Unfortunately, it was parked back in 2003 and sort of neglected...

But we are going to bring it back, better than ever.   B)

Stay tuned as progress happens...

I love 1200 fastbacks, but that's one UNFORTUNATE name.

My shopmate Tim has owned this car for almost 20 years. It won't be for sale until he achieves room temperature.   B)

I'm in the midst of tearing down the engine for it so I thought I might as well start up a thread for it...    ^_^

Believe it or not, Tim's B210 is very close to finished. If I can keep him focused on it, I'd say it'll be done by the end of May...

I want to get the engine torn down for this, and get the machine work done on it, so when the B210 is done we'll be ready to jump into this feet first.

Lonestar gave you an engine 12 years ago? For some reason I had the impression he was a young guy ...

     Aw hell no! The current A14 in my 210. Me and John have a deal. He gets my A14 when I yank it out and put in the NapZ he gave me. I just thought the one in the pic is of the same engine I traded for.

I fear some backlash is in my future for neglecting this car for so long.  Just don't show the interior until we clear the animal craps out of it... oops, probably shouldn't have said that.

At least we are fixing it instead of letting it get worse...

At our old shop, we think a feral cat got up inside the car through the empty shifter hole one winter and left behind some "gifts".

Thanks for that. I didn't even consider that the interior is probably urine-soaked as well...

Wouldn't road trips be easier knowing its OK to pee anywhere because it has already been done prior?

Just sayin.
