Hey all, got a few transmissions I could use some help getting id (I'll post pics when I can) Got one standard nissan/datsun and one (maybe 2) auto datsun trans. I have to go dig out the auto but the manual has CA71B #1 stamped on it's bell housing, is this the right id number or do I need to look somewhere else?

Finally got it, thanks for that info Mike. I did have the flashers wired backwards and when I figured out that the turn signal gets it's power from the hazard, I was able to get it all working like it should. Banzi, I wish that were the case but the OG dash wiring was ripped out and hacked up. So now I'm having to hybrid all this together and get it working but this is not my circus, I'm just the clown turning the wrench.

Hey all, been a minute but I'm still around and still working on cars. Got a 1968 Datsun roadster that my shop is doing an sr20 swap on. Got the engine wired in fine and running but what I need help with is the body and light wiring, namely the turn signals and flashers. This roadster has hazard switch in the center console with the radio and I'm trying to hook all of this up with an American Auto wire Highway 22 kit. I have found the wiring diagrams over on the ORG 311 site and I followed that. I can get the turn signals to come on but they won't flash nor will they flash when I turn on the hazard switch. I'm sure I got the flasher relays wired right but I'm not sure if I'm missing something, can anyone point me out what I might doing wrong? Thanks all.

That, right there, you stole my idea and dam does that look bad a$$. I want to mod the taillights on my 210 (B310 US ver) but I wanted to keep everything I was going to use to be retro parts from other Nissan vehicles. Looked at the Skyline model taillights and got a pair from the 72/73 Skyline but then I saw those 70 model Camaro Taillights and was like...Yes...this will look so freakin awesome. I need your parts list, your pulling off stuff I want to do my 210, keep up the good work man!

:< Sorry to hear that TSK, I can't vouch for it after it left my hands but it had cut electronics? I didn't cut anything when I pulled it tho that could have explained the slight dieseling it'd do when I shut it off. The only wiring I messed with was that one yellow spark plug wire I had to make after I pulled one of the old one's apart doing a tune up. I do hope things starting working better for ya tho.

Looking good, did you figure out what you needed to make the chamber plates work?

Yeah, TSK now has 70% of my 210's old/new drivetrain. At this point I should have asked if he wanted to buy the whole dang car. XD Looking good on the progress tho TSK, I hope all those parts serves your 210 has well as it did mine.

Hey John, you going to weld up any holes in the engine bay? I wanna see which ones so I can clean mine up before I put the engine back in it.

That's the engine and trans outta my 210! You better believe it's clean, it only had 38k on it when I bought the car and I broke just over 40k when I pulled it. Glad to see it's going to help another 210 back to the road.

Man I wish I didn't live so far away, I'd love to come out and learn a thing or two from you and the crew. Take wait to see how this one turns out.
