I want to commit a homicide...or why previous owners...

shouldn't be allowed to live.

The head is off at the machin shop so i figured it'd be a great time to tear into the water temp and fuel guage not working.Got them fixed-cool.Now to the dash lights.Got everything LED'd and ready except the headlight & wiper switch weren't lighting up.I find that the fiber optic line to both had been cut(PO).

So i search my 79 parts truck and find the system is intact,in addition i get the wiper delay up-grade.So i start to remove the system for the donor truck. But i can't get the headlight switch un-plugged.I spend 30 minutes at it.Nothing.I've been doing this a long time and i know all the tricks. So i ended up cutting the connector off which i hate as it ruins a good harness.

So tonight at the bench,it took me 20 minutes....TWENTY FUCKING MINUTES to get them apart.Why-you might ask?

The previous owner SUPERGLUED the connectors together!!!

One of the PO owner of my '79 620 took a jig saw to the dash where the radio went. I can't really complain though, it's a really straight truck and it is minor compared to what could have been done to the rest of the truck.

i almost died on my birthday because of my old wagon's previous owner, he used autozone emergency repair u joint clamps on sr20det wagon w/ chevy s10 rear end, good thing it came off the rear end side and not the transmision side or it would have flipped the whole car doing 70 on the fwy. Had to re-balance, straighten the driveshaft, new heavy duty u joints and proper stock s10 clamps and new exhaust. could have been worst

Share your pain.

Can't top the superglue, but, my goon when I bought it had fencing wire (think very thick solid gauge galvanized wire) as the earth from the battery to the body.

In addition, I removed about roughly 18 feet of random wire (including speaker wire) from the car.

Wish I'd taken a photo at the time, it was like a massive bowl of spaghetti.

Still cant explain the 2 bullet holes in my car...

?!?!?!?! Wtf? Previous owner with a pissed off wife maybe?

I personally think a pissed of husband shot at the 68datsun510 as he was diving into the car to get away hoping the husband of the woman he was just with was a bad shot. 68datsun510 just doesn't want to explain.

Mine too. I feel your pain. To put an ancient shaft style tape deck in. I recently made a plate to cover the hole. (see build page in my sig)

That and he put some cheap speakers in the kick panels, and used way too long of wire for the driver speaker, rather then cutting it off though, the dumbass wrapped it around the parking brake... WTF?! WHY? And many other rigged up things I forget that I have fixed. That and the damn truck hadn't been cleaned in or out in years. And rigged up the damned carburetor rather than rebuild or tune it. Now it is impossible to fix, I will upgrade to a Weber someday when I get rich.  And bondo everywhere. Sheesh, I could go on and on.

How about this? Near as I can figure out, he had a problem with leaves. So he cut the vents and put these on   It doesn't make me mad though, it just makes me chuckle.

Easy fix though, that cowling comes off in about 10 minutes and is not a highly sought after part.

Yeah, I thought it would probably be an easy fix and cheap enough. I've got a list of salvages in my area I'm going to call this week and see who has what.

Hahahaha, the damage predates my owning the car by what looks like decades...  I'll get a pic asap!

Looks like 2 VERY negligent discharges and whoever had the gun was good, they blew out their front right tire AND the heater hose/radiator at the minimum!
