Nice work James, shows just how much work, and how long it takes to do it right!! I wish I had a BBQ setup like yours! :w00t: I have to jack mine up, lay on my back, get it all in my face! :crying:

I have been slowly sealing all of my seams on my project too. Sure wish I had a mediablaster!! I just clean it up best I can and apply a rust encapsulator, not quit as good as yours, but better then original.

Keep updating us!

Update

Cleaning the inside of the hood, what a pain in the ass. However a razor blade took the factory paint to bare metal.

See the gap in the hood skin, to hood brace

lasvagas11_6736.jpg

we used some construction adhesive PL400, and clamped everything together and allowed ample time to dry, before paint we will still use sims 2 part seam sealer to fill in the gaps between the skin and bracing

Skib stripped the truck lid interior (had been painted before and looked like a cheap job) We didn't want to rely on the prep from the last painters

Once stripped it needed complete sanding.

Vic stepped in for a moment

She is really good at making these
