Wow great work!!! I am curious though about the sandblasting. I want to sandblast my 620 and I have 2 pressure pots and a siphon gun I can use however im worried that I will easily warp the panels. Howdo you guys sandblast your cars? what equipment do you use and how do you keep the heat away?

I would try and use soda blasting instead, it leaves a better finish and just washes away when your done.

All of these parts were, at one time goin to be Carbon Fiber. However we have not found another carbon guy. So now we will be painting the entire car the color of the engine bay.

Still looking for a Drivers door. and Clean hood.

I love the pics (oics) on this thread. It shows many of the steps of the HARD work of good painting. Like many things, you don't really understand it until you do it. The "3 days of sanding" -with no pics - it's true and accurate This level of prep, metalwork, stripping, painting, sanding etc. shows me that there are others out there committed to saving and improving the Datsuns! I have NO doubt that the paint quality, and panel fit exceeds that of the Dat's from the factory. My work goes so much slower, and I can only dream of having a wife that helps! My wife tolerates...periodically...and I think I'm reasonably fortunate. This husb/wife team rock!
