I hit 82mph with my 4 speed. What's your issue?

Thing is loud as hell at that speed.

Ya she gets loud lol.....I have very sensitive hearing....I can hear air leaks in my truck while the engine is running....fucking mechanics can't even with the engine off....I tell them to spray soap water in that direction and they're like "I'll be damned" ya that good.....so after an hour over 3600 rpms...ears hurt :(

200sx tranny is not the long version? The long versions came in 610's. You sure it's that long?

The 63A is same length as 4spd but not all 200SX had it.

From nicoclub page....

FS5C63A: That's the L-series dogleg. Came in both L-series and NAPS-Z type front housings. The L-series ones are more common as the 200SX '77-79 had it almost in every car. The '77 710 and the '78-79 510 had it as an option on everything but the Wagon. The NAPS-Z version was only used as an option on '80-81 510s and was very uncommon.

200sx tranny is not the long version? The long versions came in 610's. You sure it's that long?

The '77-'79 S10 (200sx) had 26" (short) dogleg

The 610 only had a long 31.5" 4 speed, similar to the PL510 but longer.

The 63A is same length as 4spd but not all 200SX had it.

The FS5W63 doglegs are 26" long and the only standard transmission used in the '77-'79 S10 200sx.

From nicoclub page....

FS5C63A1: That's the L-series dogleg. Came in both L-series and NAPS-Z type front housings2. The L-series ones are more common as the 200SX '77-79 had it almost in every car.3 The '77 7104 and the '78-79 510 had it as an option on everything but the Wagon.5 The NAPS-Z version was only used as an option on '80-81 510s and was very uncommon.6

In North America it's.....

1 That's FS5W63A and not L series specific.

2 The FS5W63A can be L, Z or A series depending on the front case installed.

3 ALL S10 '77-'79 200sx had them unless automatic. There were no 4 speeds.

4 The '77 710 did NOT have a dogleg option. Only 4 speeds and auto.

5 ONLY an option on the  '78-'79 A10 (HL510) 2dr Hatchback with L series engines

The dogleg was an option on 2dr and 4dr Hatchbacks and wagon. Only the sedan didn't have it as an option

Looks like a cool spot for camping, that road one way or is it shared with oncoming traffic?

That's the last 10 or so miles once you turned onto the Siuslaw River Rd that forks to the right, two big RVs at the same time would be a tight fit, it definitely requires precaution, great roads though

Oh and to answer your question, Ted, yes it's shared.
