mattyhacks71
You have no clue, your point? You're right, sorry I've been day drinking again 1 Quote Link to comment
505plus5
Not finished yet but here is mine. Qwik, that looks good. What vehicle did that come from? And, how would that differ from the SR20... etc., engines others want? Thanks. Quote Link to comment

Thanks. My engine is actually a VG33 - from a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. 3.3 liter. I am using the 1987-1988 Nissan 200sx SE intake and exhaust manifolds. SR20 is a 4 cyl. 1 Quote Link to comment

ericsb210
Surprised that with all of the VG motors out there that no one makes a sweet machined aluminum valve cover. Might be a market for it, anyone out there with the skill? Could be a few bucks to be made. Quote Link to comment
HRH
I'm just surprised the number of people who run with open timing belts. I'd be worried a rock would get in there and then bam, valves, pistons, not a good thing. 3 Quote Link to comment

Lockleaf
Vger, that super charger helps make that engine prettier. That's my favorite one yet. Eric, in the other thread we were discussing these engines, that's the same idea I mentioned. Some sweet finned cast aluminum valve covers would be awesome and help me like this engine more. tr8er
After replacing the valve cover gaskets on my 3.3, I'm kinda wishing I had a carb. The layout on these is just to tight for my fat hands. I like the performance, but it's not amazing either. SR next time for me 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
If I remember correctly that car puts something like 340hp to the ground. Quote Link to comment

Electromotive made some Aluminum valve covers, but, they are pretty darn rare and very expensive. But, a friend of mine scored a set and may try to have them replicated. Quote Link to comment

Never seen one failure from this mysterious rock. Methinks this is just an old wive's tale... Friend of mine said exactly the above statement to a Nissan master tech friend of mine. His succinct reply was "you obviously have no idea how fast that belt is moving while the engine is running". ^_^ 1 Quote Link to comment
tr8er
^ true that. A rock would be stupid to try getting up in there. 2 Quote Link to comment
