You're right,we should just keep traveling down the same road to nowhere.Without this tax cut this bubble will burst anyway.Stock market and housing will take a hit either way.And i'll answer that question,no i don't believe everything corporations say.How about you and that tax hike question you won't answer ?

No I don't want to sell America down the river. Trumps tax cuts are corporate welfare that you and I will pay for. Enough playing around.

Please educate us idiots on the economic indicators that show this is prudent or even needed right now? What's the historical record on wages and where wealth goes under trickle down economics? what's the net effects of engineering artificial exuberance into markets? Please tell us why this time it will be different.

In about 8 years taxes for the middle class will go up while the corporations taxes will stay the same. And you are now limited to like 750k for property compared to a million before, this will a lot of people in California. They are also talking about cutting Medicare and social security. When they give a 14% tax break to corporations someone has to eat this and typically its the middle class.

Dropping from 35% to 21% is not a 14% drop though. it's actually 39.9%.

In Silicon Valley, much-feared tax bill pays dividends for workers

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The U.S. tax overhaul is a boon to Silicon Valley technology companies like Apple Inc (AAPL.O) and Alphabet Inc (GOOGL.O), which will enjoy big tax cuts and the chance to bring back billions of dollars from overseas at a reduced rate.

And contrary to the dire warnings of California officials, a large swath of Bay Area workers and their families stand to get a tax break as well, even with new limits on state and local tax deductions.

California has the highest state income tax in the nation, and Governor Jerry Brown has called the new tax bill “evil in the extreme.”

Nonetheless, many in Silicon Valley stand to benefit. Startup employees, freelancers and venture capital investors are among those who will get new tax benefits or keep those they already have, tax experts said.

Even some of the middle- and upper-income professionals who form the core of the technology industry workforce will still get significant tax cuts, while most others will see little change, they said.

The new $10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions will have a less dramatic effect than feared because such deductions in many cases had already been rendered moot by the alternative minimum tax (AMT), a mechanism for assuring that the well-heeled pay at least 26 percent of their income in taxes.

...how did u get that figure?

The difference between GL4 and GL5 gear oil is the anti scuff additives. GL4 is 4% and GL5 is 6% but this is not a 2% difference. To go from 4 to 6 you need 2 more, or half again as much as 4 or 50% more. That's a huge difference.

California Considers Placing A Mileage Tax On Drivers

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) — California is moving closer to charging drivers for every mile they drive.

The state says it needs more money for road repairs, and the gas tax just isn’t bringing in enough revenue.

State Senator Scott Wiener and others are saying that when it comes to road taxes, it’s time to start looking at charging you by the mile rather than by the gallon.

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2017/12/11/california-considers-mileage-tax/

Dear Santa, can you please send California some more immigrants?

California, despite having 40 million residents, faces shortages of the kinds of people its future requires: children, farmworkers, construction workers, doctors, entrepreneurs, engineers and college graduates. (This is only a partial list. Still, check it twice.)

The fastest way to address these shortages is by attracting more immigrants. Yes, 27 percent of Californians are foreign-born, but we’ve had so little immigration over the last decade that we face a shortage of new immigrants, too.

It’s become more difficult to attract more. While California is nice to immigrants, our federal government naughtily makes it harder for immigrants to enter the country, and engages in mass deportation.

Well student loan interest deductions went away for me. So that will fuck any amount of lowered taxes. I really don't give much of a fuck about that though. I'm more concerned about 5-10 years from now. I'd rather not further the divide of wealth classes.

If looking at recent economic record is a prediction, I'm Nostra fucking damus. So you don't give a damn about who is paying for this, or it's proven effect on the economy three times running? As long as you're getting yours, you're all good, right?

I would imagine you are like most of us 90%, struggling to make ends meet and always strapped with debt. The same folks who haven't seen their inflation adjusted incomes go up in over 50 years, while the top 1% has seen more that a 1000% increase in income.

So according to the Citizens United decision, corporations are the same as individuals when it comes to campaign contributions, right.  We other individuals aren't making record profits with massive cash reserves. You and I don't have politicians in our pockets, so why aren't we getting a permanent 40% reduction in our taxes, instead of a limited time 16% tax reduction? That sounds a lot like what Trump was saying about our trade deals with China. If you're good with that, I'm sure Trump would tell you, YOUR FIRED!

California decriminalizes prostitution for minors after Gov. Jerry Brown signs bills to aid trafficking victims

Senate Bill 1322, authored by Sen. Holly Mitchell (D-Los Angeles), make the crimes of solicitation and loitering with intent to commit prostitution misdemeanors inapplicable to children younger than 18.

Meanwhile, in the world of folks not wearing trench coats and sitting in the parking lot of kindergartens passing out juice boxes laced with Nyquil........

Imran Awan’s Expanding Axis of Intrigue

Iran-backed Hezbollah laundered money through Awan family used-car lot.

IT man Imran Awan has a problem with women but Democrats have failed to place the Pakistani-born Muslim on their honor roll of abusers with Al Franken and John Conyers. When Awan attempted to flee the country in July, the feds busted him on bank fraud charges. Andrew McCarthy warned it was more likely a serious national security case, and it turns out he was right.

As the intrepid Luke Rosiak notes in the Daily Caller, Imran’s brother Abid ran a used-car lot in Falls Church, Virginia, called Cars International A. Trouble was, the “CIA” dealership had no inventory and the sales people were fakes. As Rosiak learned, the Awan dealership “took money from a Hezbollah-linked fugitive” whose financial books were “indecipherable.” And as the DEA was aware, “the Iranian-linked terrorist group frequently deployed used car dealerships in the US to launder money and fund terrorism.” On the other hand, the DEA had trouble going after the terrorists.

As Josh Meyer reported in Politico, “In its determination to secure a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration derailed an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting drug trafficking by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, even as it was funneling cocaine into the United States.”

Taken out of context you can make this article look like a compelling accusation, but you left out the next sentence.

Senate Bill 1322, authored by Sen. Holly Mitchell (D-Los Angeles), make the crimes of solicitation and loitering with intent to commit prostitution misdemeanors inapplicable to children younger than 18. It also allows law enforcement to take sexually exploited children into temporary custody -- only if leaving them unattended would pose an immediate threat to their health or safety.

Legislation to curb human trafficking was a prominent issue at the state Capitol this session, as prosecutors and advocates in recent years have pushed the issue to the political forefront. Most of the proposals have focused on the trade of forced sex and reflect a cultural shift in the approach to prostitution that aims to divert victims forced into the industry away from the criminal justice system.

Now, are you going to correct me on any of the six Okie kiddie diddler teachers?

Truth is, shit's weird everywhere.
