Since I'm planning to harvest the peugeot seatbelts out of this car for the 1200, I'm starting to look at seatbelt planet for some replacements with a shoulder mount extension. Anyone have seatbelts from seatbelt planet with the extension? They are saying 10" extensions are recommended for the 510. This seems a bit long, I was thinking 8"? They said the mount type of the 8" would not work.. I'm confused. I might have to call them.

I have a set on order. They were supposed to be here by now, but I got an email that they had an employee test positive for COVID and all orders are delayed a week or so

Did you get the shoulder extension?

Just bought seatbelts from seatbelt planet. Item 52210. It's showed without the shoulder extension, but support informed me the picture is incorrect. I'll review them once they come in. It'll be about a month due to covid. no rush here.

These are basically identical to the Peugeot seatbelts I swapped over the the 1200 except these have a 10” shoulder extension. Quality seems good. Bolted right in.

So these are the belts Seatbelt Planet sells for the 510?

I see they have a similar setup for the S30 Z. The receptacle is on a stiffener to keep it from getting lost under the seat, a nice feature. Too bad they don't have the Z logo.

yep and it’s a decent kit made and measured for the 510. Comes with lots of hardware too. I have aftermarket seats so the mounting locations differ slightly but they still worked out good. My only complaint is that the shoulder extension could be about 2” shorter. It’s 10” and for a tall person or taller mounted seats it would be too long. Works for me and my car but something to be aware of.

I got some eyebrow gaskets from@LS_Wagon

these are 3D printed with flex filament. I gotta say these are really cool. The profile is chamfered like the factory parts. They fit really well.

I snapped a few pics of the factory gasket and printed and test fitted on the car.

Obviously these aren’t as smooth as the factory part but you really don’t notice when they are on the car. That’s just because of the resolution of the 3D printing process. I’m trying to see if he’ll make some for the 1200 eyebrows too.

i bought some u channel rubber from a member on here. These look more factory than the u channel versions.

overall I would say I’d run these without hesitation. These are a great option and super affordable.

he’s got them listed for sale in the classifieds.

I pulled this car out yesterday to start and warm up. Battery was dead, no surprise. Got it started and the rear carb is overflowing with fuel. I'll have to pop it open and unstick the needle, seat, float. Whatever it fucked in there.

It started and ran very well otherwise. I've been trying to get some tires for this thing but there appears to be a shortage of 165/55r14s. I looked everywhere... and they are all sold out. So I guess I'll continue to wait.

Here are the new wheels.

What sort of headlights have you got there? They look pretty cool.

I’ve been trying to get this car back on the road but I’m struggling to find tires. I need a 165/55r14.

I bought a set and the company shipped me 15’s. Returned them and kept hunting for 14s. I got an alert in the middle of the night for a set of tires on Amazon, I one click ordered and then they arrived they were 155/65r14. That was my fault, returned. Now I’m on the hunt again. I can find some off brand tires in the correct size… I may have to just buy them. They are almost guaranteed to suck.

lastly, the past few times I’ve started warmed up the car I noticed the rear carb would just dump fuel onto the ground. I pulled the top of the bowls off, one bowl was full, one bone dry. After a bit of messing around, I found a little debris stuck in the needle valve. That took care of it.

now back to hunting for tires.
