thisismatt
Seems like any combo that gives you close to the sidewall height you're looking for in 14" is out of stock... Quote Link to comment
jagman
For tires you may want to check with suppliers to the racing crowd like sasco or hoosier. They carry all sizes for the race crowd including treaded tires. 1 Quote Link to comment

I need a 165/55r14. FWIW, I was able to get 185/50-14s (same outside diameter) from the UK for a reasonable price. And if you can squeeze it, a 185/55-14 is reasonably common... Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Look on ebay.co.uk for a seller who ships to the US... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203461256846?fits=Rim+Diameter%3A14|Tyre+Width%3A165|Aspect+Ratio%3A55&hash=item2f5f3c668e:g:57QAAOSwyxVgp8VY Edited February 7, 2022 by datsunfreak Quote Link to comment
Draker
Some folks may have already seen this in my 1200 thread but I figured I'd post it here as well since I just installed the same 'kit' on the 510. I designed and 3d printed this light socket repair 'kit', which allow you to still mount light bulbs into tail light housings with broken sockets. This kit can be installed without taking the light apart. and is composed of 3 parts. The square part fits through the housing and allows the round mounting point to thread on. You can then install an LED bulb. All of that is shown below. So far I've tested this on a 1200 sedan and a 510. I'm assuming it would work on most tail lights that use the same light socket holder pattern. What it looks like installed (on a 1200) Edited May 26, 2022 by Draker 5 Quote Link to comment

We just bought new light sockets for a 1200 and they were listed as 80s Honda. 😁 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Been a while.. paused work on the 620 to dust this one off for summer. Powerland in 2 weeks, why not resume bodywork from 7 years ago? 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Still need a bit more filler to fix some pin holes and low spots. Then I’ll see how good my old ass high build primer is. Probably not so good. also finally found some 165/55/14s for the wheels I bought years ago. They are shit grade tires, but should work good enough. 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Got the filler work done on the door. Ready for high build. next up is the fender. It’s pretty straight. Already did the rust repair long time ago and got it in export primer. Now to fix these dents and dings. Edited July 3 by Draker 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Forgot to take picture of the filler work.. but got it in 5+ year old high build primer. Sprayed ok… but I’m skeptical. So far ok. 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Well.. we have some wheel fitment issues on the rear. When I test fit years ago that was without tires. Now tires be rubbin'. Also got the panels sanded 220 -> 320 ->400 -> 500 grit. Got them ready to paint. Then realized I don't have enough paint. Got more mixed up this morning. If things go well, color starts today. Did I mention the car may or may not run anymore. We'll see how this plays out. 1 Quote Link to comment

Draker
At this point 50% of the car has fresh paint. 10 more years and I’ll finish the other 50%. Quote Link to comment
Duncan
If the primer goes on and dries to where it sands out without problems, you're good to go. If the lid on the can seals well, a lot of that stuff will last quite a long time.. It's looking nice! It's a lot of work, but I find body work and painting a car myself is very satisfying. 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Weather stripping and door reassembled. Fender bolted on. still have a ways to go. Runs like shit, missing some trim and emblems…. Although I saw it today and just can’t remember where the hell it’s at? How does that even happen… 2 Quote Link to comment
shlammed
where is your wheel rubbing? what was the wheel spec? my wheels look quite a bit bigger and are only going to rub on the "bump" if i run it super low. I did roll the fenders though. Quote Link to comment

I did roll the fenders though. Rear lip, right at the top of the arch. I don't recall the specs off the top of my head. I bought like 4 years ago. I either need to roll the lip or add some camber. For this weekend, it'll be a trailer queen. Quote Link to comment

Rustbin Posted yesterday at 03:07 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:07 AM You know, I'm not fond of that color but with those wheels on, it just looks so right. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz) Posted yesterday at 06:31 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:31 AM maybe rims are zero offset Quote Link to comment
ggzilla Posted yesterday at 06:53 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:53 AM They are Colin Star Shark rims by SSR, and they do look good on the beige 510. The wider ones came with big negative offset, not sure what the offset was for 6" wide ones 2 Quote Link to comment
