datsunfreak
It's funny how those wheels and tires make it look like a much bigger car. ^_^ I dig it. Quote Link to comment
russaroll
AM i the only one that has trouble filling up at the pump? i can't seem to find the sweet spot when holding the gas nozzle. every time i think i have it, it pukes fuel out at me. i've pretty much done everything short of laying on top of the car to fill up. 1 Quote Link to comment

The filler neck makes an almost 90-degree turn as soon as it goes into the car. Add to that these sensitive newer nozzles and it's a bitch. The sedans aren't much better... I find it best to play a little "just the tip"... B) 1 Quote Link to comment
Loren O
I have the same issue with my goon,at many gas stations, but it seems that the ones that don't have the newer style nozzels with the boot on them have better luck. I try to go to stations that are used to how my car's filler neck is,that way they don't spill gas down the side of my car. Quote Link to comment
jalen
All the AMPM gas stations I go to work fine. Other ones not so much. Quote Link to comment
Draynor
I just do it myself, No hassle then. I try to go to the same gas station. I have had a guy separate the filler neck from the rubber tube that's in the cargo area...6 gallons of gas went everywhere while I was paying inside . Have never let anyone pump it since then...I have a extra filler neck and tube. Going to try and figure out how I can modify it to hold newer pumps... Quote Link to comment
wagoon
It's funny how those wheels and tires make it look like a much bigger car. ^_^ I dig it. Yeah, got 55's in front, and 60's in the rear. Once these die then I might go 195/50/15 or 185/45/15....so for now tires have alot of meat. Quote Link to comment
wagoon
As for gas goes, I just stay at the pump and watch the numbers roll slowly or else I have gas all over the place. If anyone can fins a solution to this please do a write up. Quote Link to comment

jalen
Isn't it 12 or 13? I have yet to fill my tank up all the way. And wasn't there a write up for a 2 door? In the gooks of hazards thread? Username slipped my mind at the moment Quote Link to comment
Big_E-Dog
i havent filled mine up all the way either 5 gallons seem to last me a few days in a vgt wagon. dont think my fuel gauge is reading right Quote Link to comment
tr8er
I always filled my 71 with 7 gallons. 9 gallons and my cabin smells like gas. But I think I've had it filled over 11, certainly over 10 without actually spilling. Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Mine won't allow past 10. I also have a decent size dent in the bottom. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Mine holds 11... never have a problem with filling her either. Quote Link to comment
russaroll
i only put 10 in. seems to fill up. @ justjoel. what bumpers are those? they're nice. Quote Link to comment
Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
I've had problems with spillage because of bad O-rings on the fuel gauge sender. I usually fill to 8 gallons, should get you around 160-170 miles if you've got an L (and you drive it hard) with the exception of 44s. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
i only put 10 in. seems to fill up. @ justjoel. what bumpers are those? they're nice. Factory bumpers with optional over rider bars (safety bars) They aren't designed to fit wagons so I had to modify the rear to clear the gate. Quote Link to comment
