WOW

What a busy day and now its over, damn. Feels like an hour a go I was thinking about how this swapmeet car show was going to turn out.

We got there an hour later then we wanted to, but were still the first. Victory drove Virginia, I drove Rusty, and tom drove the work truck with Sabine and parts.

You asked and you will receive, pics

I drove up to this event from Visalia .... my first Datsun/Ratsun meet since I bought my L320. I enjoyed meeting James, Victory and David PAre, along with many other "Ratsunites..."

For folks who haven't gone to these swaps, I must say I really enjoyed meeting the Sacto folks, and making some new freinds. I got there pretty late, but that's probably because I was just to lazy to get up really early and make the 4-plus hour drive. It's a good thing I recently changed out the 4:88 rearend gears for the "high speed" 4.11 gears Wayno delivered to me all the way from Oregon (and installed for me too.... Thanks again Wayno!) or this might have been a 5 hour trip;) I zipped along at 70-75 all the way, with no problems. It was a cold morning run, so I passed everything but the occasional Starbucks.

I think I had the oldest Datsun there and may have driven the furthest to get there.

Didn't find any 320 stuff, Burrito, but I had a great time and saw some neat cars. Lots of 510s, a few 620s, and a surprisingly large contingent of Bay Area folks. NExt time it would be fun to find some Fresno area folks who might want to zip up there. This is definitely a fun crowd ... and I haven't seen that much carbon fiber since the last time I was on a military base.

Well, it was nice of Dave to walk a complete stranger through almost every corner of his business and answer questions about his projects. Very nice guy.

One strike against him, though ... He didn't offer to whip out any new parts for 320s in carbon fiber;) I'm just kidding. His carbon fiber sill plates and trunk lids for 510s are impressive.

And James, Victory was by far the most upbeat, cheerful person in a whole crowd of pleasant folks at this event. I'm not surprised she was able to talk Dave into hosting this event. I was grateful it was held on a Saturday. I'll keep my eye open for your Spring and/or early Fall meets.

i have been to the so.cal/eagle rock swapmeets and i never seen any 320 parts but it is cool to see your truck out there ol'320

same thing with parts, i never have seen a 320 at any of the swapmeets i have been to. more reason to get my truck done and drive out there. :) at least to the so.cal one.

the northern swapmeet will be mearly just to take the drive and see some datsuns.
