Reindexed the torsion bars yesterday, way easier than i thought! i went down two splines and the bars turned all the way down. its a bouncy ride, but damn, i love how that front end sits. im going to start looking for some 4in blocks for the rear, hopefully that will get rid of most of the rake.

i finally got a real temp gauge in. i really like how it looks, it doesnt look too aftermarket, the mount is similar to the stock under dash mounts (except for size). and it matches my tach haha.

so when its warmed up all the way, the my temp goes back and forth between 160 and 170, but never goes above 170. from what ive read, thats some what cold. the thermostat is only a few months old, but i dont remember what temp i got. the plan is to put in electric fan soon. should i get a new, warmer thermostat?

My tach is in the same position as yours, but I broke my speedo needle off breaking in the LZ23, I miss that needle.

I am curious, didn't your stock temp gauge work?

Why are you replacing your stock fan with an electric?

I am a big fan of stock equipment, the stuff lasts forever almost, and it is usually electric, already in the existing wiring harness, so one doesn't have to worry about oil lines getting melted or pinched, or wires getting melted and shorting out, and the stock fans are, well, indistructable unless in an frontend accident.

yes it worked but it was reading about 3/4 of the way up, which seemed hot to me, so i was wondering what the actual temp. was. it is also nice knowing the exact temp. in my opinion. i was to replace the stock fan because 1. to take a load off the motor/increase fuel economy, 2. my clutch fan pulley has a lot of play, and 3. the fan rubs the bottom of my radiator sometimes, and that might have to do with #2. So im going to get my truck running at the temp that is best for the L20b, then i will buy a sensor for an aftermarket fan i already have pulled fromt the junkard. then ill set the sensor to come on according to whatever thermostat i have.

I don't know what has play on your fan, but if the waterpump shaft has play, it's time to replace it(waterpump), I have seen them wobble around and destroy a radiator, and likely the waterpump will fail soon anyway.

My water temp gauge reads just over half on a normal day, and gets a little higher on a hot day.

so i was tired of riding on my shocks, so i pulled them out for now, and in doing this i found that my sway bar was resting on something on the frame, so i took that off for now as well, so i can tweek it a bit and get it back in there so it doesnt ride on anything. as far as my shocks go, i am going to start doing research on extending my shock tower, or looking into air shocks. ha when i took my shocks off, it went down all the way to resting on where the bump stops would be :D so i adjusted the torsion bars up so ive got about 1/2 inch before i hit. i will be putting a bump stop back it, whether i make one or pick something up from energy suspension.

here it is alll the way down, i wish i couldve left it that low...i wouldve broken something tho
