What kind of wire wheel did you have on your drill to get that paint and stuff off?

I was thinknig about getting a regular 3" diameter wire wheel, but that one in the top picture looks like a wire wheel brush or something

The quarter is still a little squished :( But not bad the door shuts perfect, since the quarter is in primer the dent isn't so obvious. So its good enough for now :D

I talked to the insurance dick again today..... Still getting bent over :(

Looks great Jeff. You need to get that valence fixed now, then the body would be pretty damn straight.

And with regards to the insurance shit...in the words of Eric Cartman:

(Cartman voice)Your breaking my balls man!(Cartman voice)

Thought I would post a pic of my dime since its on the road. We spent a couple days and got it together for Canby. Well I've been driving it ever since even though it needs a few things :D I was originally trying to get a FJ20et from Bob harald but after calling him every Friday for a month or so I figured he wasn't in to big of a hurry to sell it. Now I keep thinking I should try and keep it stock since there is no sense having a SR 510 and an FJ 510. At the moment I don't mind the L series but carbs do get old haha. I guess if I wasn't missing some linkage they wouldn't be so bad haha. So at least for now the plan is to keep it as stock as possible. Lowering it doesn't count though :D

Did you get the tittle? Or start the lost tittle thing? Dude an Fj would be sweet!!! I tried to buy that one... Now I have a KA in the works.

Hey Jeff, I retuned the carbs, I think I should have another go at your L motor now :D!

I don't know I had quite a lead on you... they must have been really far off :D Wait until I get some EFI on her :D

Yah, the tune was pretty far off, I had to set the mixtures, re balance and richen from there. You got pretty far up on me on that on ramp though! In fact right now it's still set a little lean, I have to pass smog this month somehow before I richen it up any more.

Got the pulley machined for the EDIS, Yeah!! The lathe can be a bitch!! It took me 3 tries to get the pulley holder the right size.... In the end I was victorious!! Now I just need to make a bracket to hold the pick up... I think that part may be harder.

Looking good Jeff. Makes me want to do edis on my KA. Maybe a summer project...

The lathe can be a bitch!!

Tell me about it! I just had to do some threading for one of my classes. Did it on my first try, but damn it takes forever!

I'm not concerned with who gets it done fastest. I'm more interested in both of us getting it done. I have a ton of other stuff to do to my car first - suspension and some interior first. Looks good.

Did I say I would "race" you to getting the EFI done first? Or did I say I was building an L series that will beat an SR?

I have a bit of advice. In my first 510 project thread, I mention using an EDIS V8 Crown Victoria cam sensor as a VR sensor instead of the Escort VR sensor. The Crown Vic cam sensor mounts with a single screw. A MUCH cleaner solution. It is the same type of sensor and works fine. I did use this on my last 510. I am sure it works.

You should do EDIS on your KA, I'm just not a fan of a dizzy. To me it's better having a computer work out the spark, not old mechanical junk. They do make Megaspark systems too. I think my biggest problem is I came from construction, an 1/8th of an inch is nothing in construction but a huge amount when it comes to machining.

haha I'm just giving you a hard time Steve :D I just want to see how good an EFI L series runs.... My carbs are killing me!! I really think EDIS will help it out too. I'm going to be focusing on my SR for the next few weeks, I just want to get the EDIS working in hopes that my daily commute will be better.

As for the sensor I have a few of the escort ones so I'm going to build my bracket around it. Hopefully I can figure something out to make it adjust and look nice :D I'm just really excited about finally using MS!!!

Okay but I charge 5 dollars an hour so that will be about 100 bucks for 3 haha maybe you should wait until I'm a little better at the mill :D

I kept the jig I made so if anyone needs on later :D
