the510keeper
Now were excited, the bare metal hides the rust. Cool thing we found out was for the most part this bird had factory paint on it. and minimal filler. Also been wanting to finish the inside of the hood and hinges to match the engine bay. Stripped the hood a few weeks ago, sanded the inside, and removed the hood prop. Funny thing this hood was pulled from Virginia. A few bolts broke so had take care of that first. Had to take care of a few high spots on the out side, if not now it would crack the paint later. clean, used 2 part seam sealer, and sealed with DP40LF, then base Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
I have been waiting for this car to have something done to it. With all the work you do, it didnt make sense why your coupe didnt have any of your awesome work put into it. Been wanting to do the aluminum fighter plane look for awhile, but we also got to keep them bills paid. If it weren't for Victory this thing would still b white. She's crazy with the chemical stripper. She motivates me on our own cars. Thank you Love :) Stay tune Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
How often do you hear the words crazy and stripper in the same sentence :D ? Seriously, the car looks cool. Keep it up. Quote Link to comment
fuzz's '71 510
Can I ask what kind of stripper did u use on there and is there any left over after you wash it off? Always heard that if u use stripper, there will always be a film that may cause the primer/paint to not stick. Thanks. Fuzz Quote Link to comment
