I started to clean up some wiring, it took me 7 hours because I was sick.

 

installed a radio

installed a 12v power plug in place of the cigarette lighter spor

cleaned up some of my fan wiring and ran an additional wire back inside after the fuse. (I have the e fan fused right at the fan) and hooked it up to the fasten seatbelt light. this way, if my fuse blows and my fan is on, the light will go out.

 

I really wanted to re-wire my headlights, but im running out of time and im pretty beat.

Tried to rebuild my carb to find that the PO left some parts out of it. No wonder it wouldnt run, so I ordered a new 32/36 Weber today

Lowered my dime by cutting 3 coils up front. I will probably do 1 coil on the rear.

Wash and Wax the 510 yesterday morning. Took it for a nice canyon run, then got home and fell asleep inside. I love my 510, my home away from home. :D

Dialed back the vacuum advance canister just a bit. It's been pinging a bit since I moved to California, but I haven't been driving it enough to merit doing anything about it until recently, so after adjusting the grub screw on the back of the vacuum canister, it's revving up nicely.

Grabbed a turbo and new flasher unit. Going to rewire the rear side markers to work as blinkers. Luckily found my old dime quarterly. Now if only I can get the front side markers to do the same.

riped off a door car to make a template for new ones

 

bough a belt sanded to get ride of some stubborn paint

Removed the halfshaft to replace the U joint Les Schwab said was bad. Halfshaft out and the U joint is fine. Put everything back together and off to buy a wheel bearing.

every window is out sanding for paint. removed the door weather stripping without ruining it is a PITA!

 

also that damn chrome trim on the drip rail is also a HUGE PITA to get off without messing it up i boke a sweat on that shit.

 

ordering new rubber parts for it on monday from rods datsun.

 

i would say things are coming along nicely :D
