What did you do to your dime today?

I havent done anything with my Datsuns.

all running great.I dont even change the dizzy and rotors in over 6 years.

I dont know why people have proplems with their Datsun?????????

500 mi valve adjustment, lookin good :cool:

 

re-did the fuel delivery from the pump, tweaked on the carbs, finally idles nicely.

once i get the sych tool back, it should make it past 7000 :)

 

& another 100mi 'test drive' in the cyns too :w00t:

I sat in my 510 today and made vroom vroom noises with my mouth while turning the wheel back and fourth!

Tried pulling off the intake and exhaust manifolds only to break 2 bolts. Then my neighbor decided to talk to me for 25 min so I had to stop working on it.

i just got done cleanin the garage tomorrow im gonna pull the rear sub and disassemble it to get it to the powdercoater and run all new fuel lines while its outa my way.

Adjusted clutch pedal so my clutch actually disengages now, and changed the oil.

Today was a good day my buddy just happened to be scrapping a 280zx so i picked up the strut assemblies, diff, brake master and some other odds and ends all for free. i also wired in the relays for my ka swap and cleaned the garage again.

i disassembled the 510 and 280 strut assemblies so i can cut off the perches tomorrow, damn the more i get accomplished on my car the the farther away it gets from bein done.

Put the spare on today. One of the tires was falling apart. Old and dry I guess.

i re- installed the old gas tank in my "Goon" today. if you've seen any of my posts about my car,you'll know all the trouble i've had with this tank. i had thought it was full of rust, but it was also full of some kid of sealer that hadn't stuck and about a pound and a half of dried mud! i haven't been able to find one just like it, since it only has 1 breather hose. i'm hoping it doesn't leak now that i've cleaned all the crap out of it.

took rear end apart , new bushings in controll arms. figure out a way to mount crossmember solidly

pulled rear control arm assemblies apart and attempted to press out the bushings out. What a p.i.t.a. i had to end up meltin the rubber out then cut the inner sleaves with a sawzall, then i had to use the airhammer on them .

welded in the rear quarter panel of my 2 door :) now only a little floor board and rocker work!

I plazma'd the exhaust hole out in the rear sub so i can fit 3" inch through it
