KoHeartsGPA
Well...i failed to upholster the bottom of rear seat....so....seat cover it is til I can afford it....cleaned up the rear seat, did some stiching.....and put a seat cover....doesn't look bad.... And I decided to go loar....I couldn't slide the c clamps anymore due to clearance issues....so I cut another coil....I got clearance now and doesn't bottom out....looks lots better... Oh and I found that burning rubber I kept in smelling when going around corners hard on the poker run couple weekends ago....was the pulley from the alternator ever so slightly rubbing on the bottom coolant hose from the radiator...now it's got more clearance and the hose doesn't look gashed at all, there just was rubber shavings in the area, no damage, will keep an eye on it.... qwik510
Finally got a new windshield installed. The old one was so cloudy it really sucked to look through it. The guy that did the work has been doing windshields since the 70s. Nice to find someone that could do it right and not damage the stainless trim. He pulled the glass and we found some minor rust damage so I sanded it all down, treated it with several coats of Zero Rust and then used JB Weld to close up the little holes. Once it dried, I used my dremel to smooth it down and guide any water towards the drain so hopefully, there will be no issues in the future. I am quite happy with the new glass. It is so crystal clear. It's like driving a different car. It is also tinted across the top which is really nice on a bright day. While I had it all apart, I pulled the cowl panel and lubed up the wiper assembly and installed my Mazda Wiper Motor Conversion. Thanks Kelvin and thanks James, the 510 keeper, for the help with that. 4 Quote Link to comment

Ranman72
got rid of the POS mr gasket throttle cable ( although it has served its purpose for about 3 years ) installed a lokar cable and what a difference in quality the cable is stranded tighter the housing is made better and the end links are all metal not plastic garbage the housing is smaller diameter but built much better than the MR gasket one I guess sometimes smaller is better    a much tighter slot on the Lokar cable TIGHTER IS ALWAYS BETTER unless it doesent fit the Lokar cable is smoother feeling and better overall quality I am very happy 2 Quote Link to comment
