Just test fit them today with some duct tape. They're surprisingly close and won't require much modification.

The plan for today after work is to install my fender mirrors, roll and pull the front fenders and the rear quarters, install my ZG fender flares, and to use the glass paint to do the highbeam housings in yellow. Hopefully I have time to get it all done haha

I should have some installed pics after tonight :)

They're s30 ZG fender flares that i'm adapting to fit the 521. I have a set of 15x10 very low offset wheels that i'm installing so I needed some flares to fit them :)

how close to the pully did you cut at? Do you have a picture?

I cut one before right up against the pressed on pulley. It's welded but I got too close and it worked off. This one I sliced the aluminum casing off and exposed the bearing. Then cut the outer race off and removed the balls. I left the inner race on. If I had a larger cutting wheel I would have 'trimmed' it but there's lots of room now so I'll leave it.

All the Z20/22 and 24 water pumps I've ever seen have a deeper cavity and taller impeller inside.

The 280z/zx uses the same one as above BUT the pulley doesn't line up. DUH! FYI:Also the plastic fan blades won't swap between the two styles. Get a factory made one, they have the smooth cast impeller. Most after market ones are crappy stamped steel with sharp edges and will likely cavitate when run up in the higher RPMs. I grabbed this one because it looked new... piece of shit, won't use it.

well lets see. took the truck to the car wash. wasted 7 bux cause the it still looks dirty. meh, whadaya gonna do.

then i got rid of the wires that went to the auto trans and hooked up the reverse switch. cut out the downshift solenoid wires and put a new connector on the wire that goes to the starter solenoid.

also took the EGR counter off the truck and a relay that wasnt hooked up to anything. then i re-routed the fuel line to go around the back of the engine. pretty much cleaned up all the wiring under the hood. it looks alot better now.

oh and then went for a drive to the lake with the fiance with the datto.

had a good day lol
