TrevDaddy
Disassembled the bottom end of my new engine, and put on my ratsun.net sticker. I have some money to invest in this project that's for sure. Quote Link to comment

1Low620
Replaced my front pass. side brake adjuster, old one broke in half and the pads locked to the drum :D! Thanks to Yello620 again, she's back together and re-bled, stops a lot better now. Drum fixes are just temp so I can move it across town where the rest of the project will resume! J.C_620
i took the seats out and set them out in the sun to dry and half assed cleaned all the glass shards out Quote Link to comment
TrevDaddy
Got it towed. :( I got my WOT problem again today, I think it may be the same culprit. This time it happened in the middle of a busy 6 lane highway. Good news: My carb rebuild came in the mail so I have two reasons to take the carb off. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
It wasn't really today, more like yesterday.... That thing was twisted. Gonna reuse part of it as a drill jig for the new crossmember. I want to keep that e-brake functional. :) Quote Link to comment
FalKhan
There was a break in the rain, so I took the opportunity to change the taillights.... course the rain took the opportunity of me being outside changing the taillights to start coming down extra heavy. Quote Link to comment
Smiley720
More of my 4-link parts came in today, I am 98% finished with the back half. Quote Link to comment
mellotrongirl
Paid $335 to have my Datsun 620 EV conversion sent to its creator 310 miles away only to find out I overlooked a blown fuse worth less than $1 DOH!!! Glad that's all it was, tho'! Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
installed the radiator, installed the alt belt, and found i need to cut up the fan shroud to use it. still need to install the starter and wire the iggy. Quote Link to comment
mellotrongirl
There's a Texaco service station in La Grande that has been redone to look like a 1959 era classic Texaco station that has recently turned on the vintage gas pumps. In a month or so, they will open up the service bays. I thought about trying to be their first customer for this grand opening, by freshening up the '78 longbed 620 with authentic Marfak lubrication and a thorough tune up & topping it off with Fire Chief petrol. FATT STRIPES
came home from work to see my wife(DATSme), w/ the help of a friend, had almost completely stripped her 520 to the frame to get ready for the body drop. now the cab's off and ready to go to oldsklminitrk to help us w/ the build. pics and build thread soon to come. Edited November 14, 2009 by FATT STRIPES Quote Link to comment
Guest Rick-rat
Finally finished my brake job today, nice to have it so it stops in a straight line now. The rear drums were a pain in the ass to adjust, after some frustrating moments I found that pulling out my lowering blocks you can easily access the adjusters with a narrowed brake spoon Quote Link to comment
steve g
i replaced the o2 sensor, all 8 plugs and wires, dizzy cap and rotor, all vacuum lines....... still idles like shit Quote Link to comment
VoidDragon
Replaced the intake/exhaust manifold gasket. Very very fun with the motor in the truck, and not taking either all the way out. Quote Link to comment
sycloned916
Cleaned my 520 washed it and cruised to a local meet in elk grove park. Few 510's,240sx and two trucks. My little truck was the nicest. Quote Link to comment
TrevDaddy
Fixed the bench seat hold down clamps, and installed my vinyl cargo pouch that I found in the junkyard for $2. Now I can put some necessary tools back there and have more room in my glove box. Also ordered the pre-heater hose that connects the exhaust mani to the air intake for faster warm up in the winter. datsun dreamer
Well, it's winter..its cold in my truck and my heater switch never worked...so i got creative and made a heater lever from a "Ratsun" dipstick handle given to me by Datrod awhile back:D!! It turned out pretty good and it actualy works:)!! I connected a closehanger to the lever and hose clamped it to the heater valve switch by the firewall..and there you go..Heat:lol:!!!!
